I have a Ram 2500. It wont start unless I put starter fluid in it. They have worked on the injection system and they say its fixed, I drive off the lot, it seems fine, and then the next morning it wont start up again. Any suggestions what else it could be?

Sounds like a fuel filter needs to be swapped.. I would let the dealership have the truck over night and check it out in the morning, so they can see your truck first hand. Just have someone drive you back home, and car pool with someone for a day.

Question, how the do you put starter fluid in a fuel injected truck? Through its intake assembly?

Also in mind it could be your fuel pump, it was made in mexico

If it's a diesel than your destroying the eng with starting fuel.Get it repaired or the price of a new eng will be more than than the fix???? also is it thowing a code.Turn the key on an off 3 times an leave on do not start an read the message on the speed milage. if code shows than that whats wrong??The 03 does not have glow plugs it has a intake heater.

all i can tell you is have someone scan the computer on it for a trouble code, there's about 50 things that could cause it to do that, low fuel pressure is the no-1 cause of it most of the time,or it could be something as simple as it needing tuned up,there's really no way to guess at it without seeing it to give you a diagnoses on here on it,good luck with it.

Is your truck a diesel or gas engine? If it's a diesel it could be your glow plug. If it's gas, you have injector problems. When was the last time you had a tune up. Also, how many miles are on the truck? How do you use the truck?

You didn't say what engine you have, but if a gas engine, I'd suspect the fuel pump in the gas tank isn't holding pressure over night.

Have they checked the compression? If the compression is low it will start hard. I would assume there are some miles on your truck so have them check that. Especially if its a diesel!

first, find a real mechanic. second, have them do a fuel pressure check on the system, lastly check your fuel cap to see if it is ok or damaged.
