I'm confused. Do the Christians get to drink now?
Either way, I would rather spend my life helping others. If there was a Heaven and I wasn't allowed in on my own merits, I wouldn't want to be there anyways. If that's the case, I'll be chilling with Gandhi.

So where did these morals come from, must have been taught from someone, right? I mean even as a child certain morals are taught to everyone. I myself being a Christian follow morals because its the right thing to do, not to gain some kind of reward after death. I didn't realise that you were promised a special gift for following morals. Is there scripture somewhere in the Bible for that?

The problem is that to be an atheist, you must find a moral compass within yourself without a set of moral standards. The shooters at Columbine High were atheists who followed what they thought was right. I'm not saying that Christians never do terrible things, but at least we have our rules written down and agreed upon.

Well now, you caught me. I am guilty of keeping the ten commandments and anything else the Lord says is good for me to do.
Atheists on the other hand, have put themselves in the hands of the God of this world, Satan..They think it is their moral compass but in actual fact, they are living exactly the way he wants you to live..good works are a nice thing but Satan knows, that no matter how nice you are or what high standards you set for yourself and your family, you are still Hell bound because good works mean nothing without God. He has little miss do gooder, hook, line and sinker.Your morale compass won't mean on thing on Judgment Day.

I differ to you all moral superiority. I am a Christian who does not the moral debate. I lean towards God's word and let Him deal with morals, from which I know that since I care more about what God thinks, my morals are lacking. If I am going to have morals, then give God the credit every single time, okay?

You're simply talking law. The 10 commandments are law. Moral compass within ourselves is law. moral standards are law. Christianity is way above law. To quote a bible verse, "the law is a schoolmaster to lead us to Christ". Atheists do not always follow their moral compass, which makes them a sinner. Does your conscience ever condemn you? You have failed. Christianity does not say we will be rewarded for keeping moral standards. We will be rewarded for our faith.

I would not generalize their are some Atheists who are very nice people and very moral, but most Atheists that I have seen are very Angry or lustful and greedy, but don't get me wrong their are some atheists that find morals, its the same with Christians only some actually put an effort to follow through its teachings while others just say they believe but put no effort into its teachings in which effort is required the bible says faith alone is dead, if you believe but do not put an effort to follow jesus's teaching it is the same as not believing God does not expect you to be perfect just wants you to put through a effort and repent every time you know you have sinned. thats what th bible says.

It does bother me, because it pains me to see that some people dont 'know' that God exists.
But I admire your sense of morality and wish you to continue in that straight way, as my above friend said: you dont need religion to be moral...
