Funny you should ask I was talking to someone a couple weeks ago about this. It had been years since I got a thank you card then one day one out of the blue I get 2 cards. One thanking me for doing security for a music concert and the other for helping a friend out. Freaky I think the next question I will ask is when was the last time I won alot of money.(lol)

Today, it was a Thank You card.It made me feel good that there are still people out there with proper manners. I send cards out to people all the time. In my mind it just shows that you really put thought into it beacuse you had to go out and pick a card out that you think is just right for that person. I like to think that it brightens someones day to get a card in the mail. I know that it makes my boyfriend (who just so happens to be stationed in Iraq) smile when he gets a hand written letter in the mail from me. I only use email if I am in a hurry.

Snail Mail is becoming obsolete. I have not received or sent one in eons it seems.

Maybe I should consider getting on that & work on bringing people back in to our lives with some personal touches just like a Thank You card, even for being a friend.

I also think at the weddings of young ppl there should be annoucment form someone in the wedding party for the new couple not to send out cards, have them make a speech right there, cause Im just going to throw the card away, its a waste of money and dont forget about global warming

Actually just last week from a bridal shower I attended. The simple act of writing a thank you card is almost a lost art now. It is sad.

My friends kids always mail me thank you drawings whenever I send them anything. The last time was Easter.
The sweetest thank you card I got was from my mother in law, thanking me for the Mother's Day card I sent her. She said it was the sweetest card she ever got and that she would cherish it forever. She is no longer with us, but I will always have that card.

I get them all the time from people. I also always make sure to send them to people. I belive it has been one of th emost important parts of building my repeat clients with my business. Every client I do business with, I own a plumbing business, get a thank you letter.
