I'm getting married next October and I've been doing some major research on wedding transportation. I've noticed that anywhere you mention you need transportation for a wedding, the price explodes and it is completely NOT affordable for 3 hours of service!! Can anyone suggest a unique way to get my bridal party transported without spending an arm and a leg? I've looked at stretch limos, SUVs, Hummers, and Trolleys. Any other suggestions? Help!

The wedding ceremony is approximately 7-8 minutes from my house. From my house to the photo location would be about 15-20 minutes away and from the photo location, it would be another 15-20 minutes to the reception hall. Hope that helps!

does anyone you know own a vintage car? that would be a classy ride and if they are your friend/family, i doubt they would charge you much, if anything.

I think what you're doing is right, you should cut ties with her. Sadly that's what happens sometimes when you try to be nice and let things slide in the beginning, it can end with hurt feelings on both sides. However, from what you've described, it sounds as though you have followed through on your part and I wouldn't worry about any legal issues or threats coming from her. I would however be careful with the fact that she knows where you live and also the fact that she seems a little mentally unstable (and if not mentally unstable it's quite obvious she's not dealing with the outcome of you're agreements). That could be a potential nightmare. If anything continues after you severe contact with her such as visits, drive-by's, or unwanted gifts, I would most certainly get an order of protection or restraining order against her not only for yourself and your husband but for the child as well. I sincerly hope that everything works out for you and your new family and congratulations on your baby. :-) Best of luck.

You did not mention from where to where. How far is the church/wedding ceremony from your home? How far is the reception?

Overall, it is most convenient to use a limo to truck everyone here/there. But if that's too pricey. Get a couple of huge cars, SUVs and get a caravan going. Check your local rental cars, borrow friends', relatives, aquintances' big cars. Good luck have fun and hope for fair weather.

Depending on theme and location. In October I would suggest some type of horse drawn carriage or (like I said depending on location) you could have a hay ride drawn by a tractor. Seriously, you can decorate it beautifully. Instead of hay (or straw) you could use park benches or something. It would be fun and interesting and the bridal party could have fun decorating it the night before.

We rented a really nice white van, which all of the wedding party fit into, and it was great to have us all together - we rented it right from a dealership. There were my husband and I, and four attendants each, so 10 of us all together. It was like $50 for the day, plus gas.

Would a hay ride be adequate, you can take the kids that performed in the ceremony, after all fall is all about hay rides.

Do you know someone with a nice car?......see if you can borrow it!! Oh, and a piece of advice for your future wedding preparations......NEVER MENTION THE WORD "WEDDING"!!!!!!!! It hikes the price up ten times!!!.....Say "family gathering" or something like that.
