My wife and I used to watch late-night TV evangelists for the fun of it. Stopped around 2000 or so, so I don't know anybody else. She watched sometimes, though and liked that young guy with the dark hair. I don't know his name.

15 or 20 years ago, there was a guy who really takes the cake. I can't remember his name. I haven't found anyone who can identify him. He had his "church" in some old hotel. And on his program, filmed in a studio, he sat there glaring at the camera in disgust after asking for donations and he would say "Play the music again." Then they would roll a video slideshow with gospel singing. Then when it was over he would look at his phone operators and glare at the audience again, wait several long silent seconds and say, "Play the tape again." He did this about five times in a row, just sitting there glaring and looking disgusted the whole time. Incredible!

Then one time he spent the whole program bragging about his new trotting horse that he bought and showing home movies of this horse in a race. He was a big, heavyset guy with long white hair and beard, I think. Looked like a hell's angel. Wasn't on TV very long, as you might imagine. Who the heck was that freak?

Billy Graham by far. He lived with integrity. He never would even step foot into an elevator if he was going to be alone with a woman. He was beyond reproach. He is generally considered America's pastor. He spoke to whole nations like Korea and so many people converted after hearing him. He didn't believe that the purpose of Christainity is to own your own airplane like a lot of those on TV.
