... of that great civilization, the Roman empire?
And are they really tree-hugging hippies and tattooed bikers? And why do they want to kill all the atheists? I thought that was up to the LORD. They should let the LORD do it so he can get brownie points with Dad.

What are you talking about, Dearest, and you're lucky you caught me up this late. No, most Paganism is not peaceful, just as most Christian sects are not, even though Jesus commanded his followers to love their neighbors as themselves. Not a lot of that going around.
Pagan is from the root word pagani or "from the field" in Latin, meaning it's followers were often country folk, thereby out of touch with the goings on in the city. It came to mean a different faith from Christianity after Rome became Christian in the 3rd century CE and has remained so
As for the Llewellyn books, I have a good number of them but I have more research books in my personal library. One should always have a well-rounded education.
(What was this about killing Atheists? That was you going to BBQ them. I simply offered the sauce recipe to you if you wanted it. It's very good.)
As for God killing anyone, it happens all the time; it's called Death and Rebirth. No one gets brownie points, unless you really want to get a nice set of cutlery from Betty Crocker and you're collecting the points off the box labels.
You're a nice young man, Dearest but I'm very tired. I would like all faiths to be pacifistic in Nature, but until Man learns he's not the centre of the universe it's not going to happen.
Just be Kind to your fellow Creatures, my Dear One. You never know when God is going to show up as one of them.
Blessings.

I am sure that is the first time I have ever heard Romans called tree-hugging hippies and tattooed bikers, much less peaceful. They had some of those cruel and unusual punishments of any culture to date. While Romans did worship many god and goddesses, they where not the tree hugging pagans of today.
Paganism is generally defined as anyone involved in any religious act, practice, or ceremony which is not Christian, Jewish or Muslim. History records it as the worship of many gods and goddesses. It was thought that everything had a spirit, so people had gods and goddesses of the forest, sea, and all aspects of nature.
Today’s Pagans (neo-paganism) are more of the type of ‘tree hugging’ type, those that celebrate the Earth, living creatures, nature, and so on.

Heh, I take it from your handle you are adversarial towards Christianity? Heh, no wonder cuz there are so many Christian flakes, but judging Christ by everybody that pretends to his name would be like myself calling all athiests murderers which would be just as illogical, and based only on an immature emotional predjudice I had within myself so as I might express that idiocy. As to the pagan culture, mythology is full of the pagan warlike heros of old, and the pagan culture is indeed warlike albieit they are friendly to their own kind. And your reference concerning tree hugging hippies probably refers to the radical pagan types involved with the pagan religion GIAIA that think they are gonna save mother earth dontchno? They put spikes in de trees so the lumberjacks become maimed when sawing them down, real nice religious people dem ekkofreaks saving de earth are. Heh, heh, and as fer tattooed bikers, they come in all flavors like everybody else.
Whether they are a biker, or whether they had a tattoo is hardly any way to really tell where their head is at religious wise, although I will say that they do fit a personality profile that is easily recognizable. But that persoanlity has nuttin to do with their spiritual beliefs, after you get a life you will realize that yourself, but you have to get around a little to walk in the indians moccisains dontychano?

That one cannot see the obvious one-sided, close-minded bigotry is quite sad really.
