There are many ways to go in this life. It is easy to go the wrong way. Without sounding like a fanatic, I believe that believing (trusting) in Jesus is the best and right path. Jesus said that he was THE way, THE truth, and THE life and that no man cometh to the Father (God) but by Him. If there was another way to please God, why would He send His Son to die? That just doesn't make sense. So yes, I think if you don't trust in Jesus, you're heading down the wrong road.

Jesus said "no one comes to the Father except through me". If Jesus is who He said He is, then He was telling the truth, and that means, if you reject the only way to God, then you are on the wrong path.

Following Jesus yes. Jesus was a fictional character based off a person who more than likely did exist and he was given other abilities he didn't have to make him seem cooler.
I can guarantee you there is no credible historical document anywhere with the name Jesus on it.

Jesus said "I am the way, the Truth, and the light. No one comes to the Father except through me". He also said "If you deny me before men, I will deny you before the Father. If you confess me before men, I will confess you before the Father".
If He is who He claimed to be, the answer is yes.
