for instance, just now when I walked in the door, two of my cats came to great me, and a picture of me stomping on them popped into my head. Thoughts like that pop up a lot, but I never act on them (except for a few times very long ago that fortunately did not result in death, just a little loss of air--I guess you can say I suffocated the cat to get off and I'll never get over it, and I'll never forgive myself). I'm disgusted by them, and yet at the same time (sometimes) I'm turned on by them. I suppose it happens more when I'm distressed, but still. Does this happen to anyone else? Is this a dissorder?

I'm 18. What I did was I think around 8 years ago. I love animals. I hate people who harms them. I think it's sick. But, once I read a book where a horse was starved and whipped, and my brain said that's horrible, and the other part of me was turned on. WTF!

the only time I acted on it was when I was masturbating, had had the urge many times before I acted on it. normally I just disregard and feel disgusted. But why are these images just popping into my head? It's not who I am.

It sounds as if you need professional help. The behaviors you mention can be treated with counseling and medication, but are extremely hard to manage on your own. Seek the help of a psychologist or psychiatrist.

Their are no wrong thoughts first of all, only wrong actions. And I had similar experiences when I was cat-sitting an old girlfriend's two kittens, and every time they used the litter box in front of me it kind of set me off and once I even held one down with some force. It's not unique to you alone. I found that grasping complete control over them was what made violent acts against them attractive to me. Here they were coming up to me not at all conflicted about their own wants and needs and it felt good to show them that I had my own. It's not a disorder, just a symptom of your underlying mental issues, like me, like others. Well, I guess there are some people out there who actually LIKE to hurt little furry things, but I suppose we should try to have some compassion/understanding for them as well. My advice, have whatever thoughts you want, but if you feel like you're going to hurt the cats leave the room, punch something like you f cking mean it, and then reflect on the impulse you had to hurt the cats and what they did that brought it up. Hey, want to know a good joke? Do you know what sucks? Ans: Everything. Good luck.

I'm not sure that this is a disorder. What I am sure based on what you have said is that you have these thoughts, you do not currently act on them, but at one point in the past, you did act on those thoughts several times. How thick is the line drawn across your past actions. There is a very thin line between a thought and acting on the thought. You are at the edge of a cliff, you think, jump. It is just one short step between walking back to your car or taking one hell of a bad trip. The thing is you are not abnormal for having thoughts. You are certainly not without conscience based on what you say. Talk to someone even if it is your pastor or school counselor just to try and work it out. Good luck.

It sounds like you have a lot of repressed anger and really need to find a physiologist or psychiatrist to talk to. You did act on these thoughts in the past, you state you suffocated the cat to get off. That my friend is far from normal behavior. You acted out on an innocent animal and you need help as soon as possible. I can't begin to tell you just how deranged this is. Get help PLEASE before it escalates. There are laws against animal cruelty and it is a sign of mental illness.

Actually, it's not your fault at all. The cats are obviously controlled by alien beings that operate them through a control room in there heads. You are just sensing the lack of affection that a real cat can give you. Yet, you are turned on because one of them is a female alien. Although a true love affair is out of the question, you can carry on a plutonic relationship until a "real" cat comes along.........Oh by the way, your disorder is called Igno myo andesis franco rexo elixar arman katen syndrome... or IM A FREAK for short!

I don't think this is a dissorder you have. I think it's just like, when people are turned on by watching animals have sex. But how can you be disgusted and turned on at the same time? What I suggest is that, if you are disgusted by cats, you should just get rid of them.

You need to seek the advice of a mental health care professional. What you are describing could be a very serious condition.
Don't hesitate to ask for help...mental or emotional problems are nothing to be ashamed of any more than if you had high blood pressure or a lung disorder. But please, seek help before things get out of hand and you or someone else is harmed.
