who here knows anyone who IS OR WAS working as an executioner? (someone who presses the button of the chair, or the floor drop...or jabs the chemicals..)

did they tell you about their experiences seeing death every week?

I know someone from television, they would argue that they are just doing what others(the boss) told them to do.

There are usually 3 people who perform an execution, they all do the same thing at the same time.

This is done so they can reconcile their concious - perhaps it wasn't the key they turned that let the chemicals out, or dropped the floor, or lit the chair.

It would be a very un-feeling person that would be comfortable doing this on their own.

That's why the wear the Executioner's Hood - so that NOBODY knows who is doing the killing...

Unless they were working in Texas or Virginia (in the US), then it was far less than every week.
