Both rings are very nice. I like the first one better.

My husband's wedding ring is stainless steel (as in destruction proof...LOL! He is an electrician...) with a gold band over the front.

Oddly enough it was very important to my husbad to never break or wear out his ring. Gold is a very soft metal and that would never do for him. I bought his ring relitively cheap at JC Penny's for about 250 dollars

Here is a picture of what it looks like except my husbands has no diamonds in it.

He has gotten many compliments on it and my Aunt liked it so much she bought my Uncle one just like it.

Good luck on the ring search! and I wish you much love, laughter and happiness!

Hi. Ichecked them out and suggest you go to bluenile.com and diamond.com. Click on men's wedding rings and you will find everything. Today, most men still wear what they've always worn- a 6mm band. White gold 14-18 carat and platinum which is very expensive and most men scratch them. Not great for a chef. Don't get too fancy as men traditionally prefer simple bands. White gold is very popular.

I think the 2nd one is beautiful. You should try to find out what type of metal he prefers between yellow gold, white gold, platinum, or two tone. Then look for rings in the metal he likes. If you already know he would like one of these rings, then if it were me I would get the 2nd one. I love the look of the black and white gold together and the diamonds make it that more beautiful.

well,i think it should match your wedding ring to start with. However the comfort size is a great choice. whenever my husband does wear his (he's a mechanic) this is what he wears. Being a chef he may not really be able to wear one all the time especially at work. Good luck they were both very nice, but I love anything with diamonds. They are a girls best friend...

neither rings are my taste sorry, but thats neither here nor there, the REAL reason i decided to answer is because, as a chef, i would say both rings are impractical, and i wouldnt allow ANY rings in my kitchen, for both health and safety reasons. I dont know any chefs who were a ring when working, (safety hazzard) so do you really need to take that into account when choosing? IF he is allowed to wear a ring when working, these would be very difficult to keep clean as there are many intricate places for food to be trapped (hence the health hazzard) and unless you have regular access to an autoclave, would be difficult to keep clean, plain stainless steel is now a favoured choice for working men in a wedding band, they are very strong-you know what working guys are like! and now come in many designs

Love the first one; - sorry - but the second one is quite gaudy.
However, if he will be wearing the ring to work, it would be best that he had a plain gold band, with no ornamentation or anything, because stuff would always be getting in the crevices.

Sorry to say, but I don't like either of them. The ring doesn't have to be a certain metal, its all on what your fiance prefers or likes the best. The cost all depends on your budget. My finace's ring was $650.... but I know people that have spent as little as $200 and as much as $900.

I really like the two tone look, or simple. One thing to keep in mind is how much abuse will the ring be taking, white gold needs extra attention in those cases, where gold is more durable, as far as I know.
Below are a couple rings that we looked at that are pretty cool. But the best thing for you do to is let your fiance decide, he is the one that will be wearing it everyday for the rest of his life!!
