When we do away with welfare and have them pick the lettuce instead of the immigrants, there wouldn't be any job's for the immigrants, until then who's going to pick it. Until your ready to pay $5 for a head of lettuce at the grocery store Americans or robots won't pick it. There is no perfect solution.

Vegetables and Fruits grown by large companies who hire like that are generally crap anyway. they are grown in mineral depleted soil and loaded up on water.
I buy mine locally for the most part from local growers.
Now I dont know if a local person has an illegal or two working for him. But there is at least a smaller chance.

thats not true, (i live on a farm), the quality of vegetables is better if homegrown, not mass produced, and that is only when they are picked when they are ripe and all that gunk and chemicals is not sprayed on it. i don't support illegal immigration but i don't support harvesting our food by machines either
