God Bless you...
I was one of the mockers. I studied philosophy and literature, and mocked all religions. But then I nearly died in an accident, and Christ spoke to me. Wow. I began pursuing Him..slowly, skeptically at first, but then as I learned more about Him, I grew to love Him. I had a radical experience, but that's what I needed. Now I serve actively in the church I attend, and I am fully vested in His service.
Praise God for His mercy.

I used to be a total God hater. Didn't think He used to exist.b Hated Him if He did. I was a real Marilyn Mansonite in High School. Then after I graduated I met a girl (who later became my girlfriend...but that's a story for another time) who took me to an awesome church. I started going to an awesome bible study with people my own age (I was like 18 at the time) and I really felt a connection. I look back over my life now and see where God has had his hand in my life and how it's turned out now. I'm not a total bible thumper either. I am more spiritual than religious. I don't go to church a lot. But I definitely believe in him now. So much so that all my tattoos are God related.

I used to believe in
evolution. with not much interest in God...until a J.W. brother asked me my interests. I did then and still do like Sci. fi.
so he showed me ;
(Job 26:7) He is stretching out the north over the empty place, Hanging the earth upon nothing;
And the bible was also aware that the stars meant constellations, groups of stars. And not just holes in a dark canopy.
(Job 9:9) Making the Ash constellation, the Ke′sil constellation, And the Ki′mah constellation and the interior rooms of the South;
In days when men thought the earth was supported on the back of a turtle or an elephant, Job somehow knew the truth.
Hanging on nothing is exactly what the earth looks like from space.
who would know that?
Only the one who built it.
Jehovah God.
To me it proved the Bible.
And from then on, through study, has proved to me just how wrong mainline religions can be in their teachings, considering that they too have the Bible.
They have twisted simple scriptures to suit their own thinking.
Example. How can the Catholic religion say that Jesus IS God when they have this;
(John 5:19) Therefore, in answer, Jesus went on to say to them: “Most truly I say to YOU, The Son cannot do a single thing of his own initiative, but only what he beholds the Father doing. For whatever things that One does, these things the Son also does in like manner.
I also do things my father's way. It does not make me...him.

Hello, Jay:
I was a skeptic until 33 1/2 and a Revelation Seminar convinced me there is a God. It was tangible evidence of fulfilled prophecies and an all-knowing God predicting the future thousands of years in advance.
However, when Peter called Jesus the Messiah, Jesus said "I did not reveal that to you, but the Father did." That means that all the miracles Jesus did are worthless in proving to a skeptic that Jesus is Lord.
Instead, one must be "born of the Spirit" before being "born of water"--in other words, God's saving grace calls us when we are ready, and there is nothing we can say on R&S that will convince skeptics unless they ask of God, and He grants that appeal.
There is a Bible code that proves Jesus is the Messiah. It is just such tangible evidence that convinced me of God's goodness. Select http://abiblecode.tripod.com
Blessings and AGAPE, Balaam

I don't think any atheists have answered yet. Those above are agnostics. Not that it is in any way a bad thing I am just stating you won't get many answers.
