I would like you to post a link for a website that you think accurately reflects your faith's teachings and/or faith community. Please be specific. So for, example, if you are a Christian, please link a website for your specific denomination or actual church even. I am asking this in this spirit of mutual growth and understanding, therefore, please do not post links for propaganda sites speaking against others. This is your chance to showcase what you love, not put down what you don't. Cheaters will be reported and deleted, not to mention that you'll only be making yourself look very petty and mean-spirited. All are welcome, and I particularly encourage those of smaller faiths that many Americans no little about such as Shinto, Jain, Hopi, Bahai, etc. to participate. Also, if you would give us a little intro to the site and what we can expect to find. Lastly, if you'd like to give your own personal reasons for being a member of this faith, you are welcome, but please be succinct.

I am a Catholic and so was brought up to believe in Jesus. But more and more I started to realize that how can christians even call themselves that if they are rude and disrespectful to other religions?

I have a friend who is an atheist, but he is so good, and kind and he does everything right. And that's when you begin to think that people cannot call themselves anything. You can say you believe in God, but if you center people out, if your unkind then believing in God is just a scapegoat. A way to try to prove to the world that you are a "good person" because of your beilefs.

I believe in every religion. I believe that people have a right to believe in what they want, whether it be Brahma, Jesus, Allah etc. Because really, what's the difference?

We are all living on the same earth but for some reason we can't get along. Is it because we are afraid? Afraid of what we don't know? Well I'm not. I don't even know if there is a God or whatever. But, when you look out on the sky some days or when the sun just hits something prefectly you get to thinking, this can't be it. There has to be something out there, something we don't understand.

I would like to see the answers to this question, my husband and I are at an impasse on deciding our direction of our faith, we do not know what would be for us to consider that would suit us as adults, though we both attended church in our youth, but we have yet to decide as adults. We have a young son to take into consideration and what our beliefs are which is making our decision hard. So thank you for your question I look forward to seeing the answers.

I'm Roman Catholic, living in California*.
This site:
http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/index.html
and of course:
http://www.vatican.va/
cover my faith.
Well as I have free will, and being American too, I question everything humans do, so these do not address 'ME' 100%. Humans can muck up so much so quickly, you'd agree, that I am awaiting GOD and Jesus more than a man made peace.

Peace and good fortune, to you, in your quest.

( * Californians view life differently than other states, countries, humans do.)

I am a Sufi by choice. For 30 years............am 62 years of age.
Was, in my early years, going to be a Catholic priest
I believe in the privacy of my Fellowship group thus it can be by e-mail only. I wouldn't post it on the web.

Very nice question.

Salaams,

It accurately reflects my own attitudes toward Wicca (that is, a low tolerance for "fluffy bunnies" and a dedication to being intellectually critical and rigorous); other Wiccans may disagree.
