I have several games I enjoyed playing on my old computer which do not want to load on my new computer. I am assuming it is because of Vista. Is there anything I can do to make these work? Specifically I am looking to load Gothic 2.

Try compatibility mode. It's supposed to make Vista run software written for any version of Windows since Windows 95, though it doesn't always work.

Right-click the game's shortcut (icon), choose properties, click the Compatibility tab
Check the box to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
From the list, select the version of Windows the game was designed for (Windows XP).

It should be the same as when XP first came about. Vista should have a program that allows you to run older software.

you should check the program/game's website to see if they have an update for it.
