Paved roads stop about 100 miles or so north of the provincial/territorial borders, with the exception of Highway 1, 4, 2, and 5 (the ones north through the Yukon to Alaska and Inuvik) and some roads around Yellowknife, in the Northwest Territories.
Gravel/dirt roads (and snow/ice roads in winter) continue right up to at least as far as Inuvik to the west ... and some of the outlying mines and communities on the north side of Great Bear Lake (about 400 miles north of Yellowknife).

Roads go as far north as the ocean, but normal vehicles don't drive down them. You hire a tour car to take you.
As for the North Pole...you can't drive to the north pole because there is an ocean in the way.

Well, the Dempster Highway runs to Inuvik. I think that's the northernmost regular highway you can drive on.
The ice roads, formed in the winter if there is thick enough ice may go further north, I'm not sure.

Plan time to get out and hike, on the grounds which you will see lots of the main alluring surroundings on earth!
