Yes, pastors are required just like every other person to tithe.

My husband's father was a Presbyterian minister and he did tithe. The church can function, pay its electric bills, etc., provide facillities and services more efficiently when people do tithe. But I think people are overlooking something. Some people are better off financially than others. So, to me, there are other ways that people can tithe or "give." I would like to see more people "giving" in other ways that truly help people. Where I live, we have a free community clinic supported by the donations of others. One can "give" by helping one's neighbor with chores, groceries, etc. One can mentor and tutor a child. I know that God looks at all our acts of kindness and "giving." I think there are a million ways we can "give." But, the question is, when are we really going get serious about doing these acts of kindness? When?

Tithing releases the power of God in your finances. You are instructed in His word to tithe so if you follow God's other instructions then that's one of them too. He doesn't need our money but there are over 2,000 references to money and /or tithing in the Bible because God knew we would have problems in those areas. Read Malachi 3: 6 thru 11. that' a promise from God.

It's none of my buisness:
1) What pastors do with their money,
2) Who tithes and who does not tithe,
3) What crawled up your butt to talk about it so much.
But have fun with that.
Are you worried about everyone else's money? It makes you appear to be spiritually bankrupt.
