I asked about why the Catholic churches seem to be harboring great amount of illegal aliens in different parts of the country. Many people responded and most of whom answered seemd to see (as I did) that the illegal aliens(mostly Catholic)are new hope for the Catholic Church's need to recover from the sharp decline in number of members and donation due to the rampant sexual abuse scandals. Most of these illegal aliens. because of lack of education, are much less likely to question the various problems that have existed in the Catholic church over the years.
SO I GOT CANNED!!!

your thoughts are almost holy and great quotes. But what do you think the Bible or Jesus would have said if they saw the abuses and exploitations done by the illegals and the consequences that many good-hearted, God fearing Americans have to suffer because of it?

Created in the image of the one God and equally endowed with rational souls, all men have the same nature and the same origin. Redeemed by the sacrifice of Christ, all are called to participate in the same divine beatitude: all therefore enjoy an equal dignity.
The Catholic Church supports human rights and humane immigration law, not crime.
You shall not oppress an alien; you well know how it feels to be an alien, since you were once aliens yourselves in the land of Egypt. (Exodus 23:9)
The émigré Holy Family of Nazareth, fleeing into Egypt, is the archetype of every refugee family. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, living in exile in Egypt to escape the fury of an evil king, are, for all times and all places, the models and protectors of every migrant, alien and refugee of whatever kind who, whether compelled by fear of persecution or by want, is forced to leave his native land, his beloved parents and relatives, his close friends, and to seek a foreign soil. (Exsul Familia, Pope Pius XII, 1952)
"Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!" (The Statue of Liberty)
Jesus said, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (Matthew 22:39)
If we truly believe and live this greatest commandment then we believe that the earth, this country, everything we have are gifts from God, which we are called to share with our less fortunate neighbors.
With love in Christ.

It's more likely there was something in the phrasing of your question that violated Yahoo guidelines.
But, the concept of harboring aliens has no legal meaning. The US does not recognize the concept of religious sanctuary from the law -- that is an English law concept back from when the church was not subject to the King's Laws.
Police can enter any church they want, at any time (provided the church is open to the public, or if they have a warrant for someone's arrest and probable cause to believe they are in the church).
The fact that many police don't is purely a voluntary restraint on their part. The church has not legal ability to grant sanctuary. That's well settled law.

The Catholic Church is not supporting illegal aliens because they need to up the membership numbers. That's absurd. They support them because it is charity. You might find that word in the bible.
