We humans DO enjoy the killing. Have you ever wonder why Counter Strike and other war games become popular ? Have you ever wonder why even a children game involve beating up the bad guys ? Humans have the tendency to spill blood.

Serial killers, forensic psychiatrists say, derive sexual gratification from their killings. The Ted Bundys, the Jeffrey Dahmers, the John Wayne Gacys -- they don't want to be caught. They often enjoy taunting police. The violence is, in its own perverse way, about pleasure. So yeah ... fun is part of the equation in some perverted way.

It's not that way for mass killers -- guys who take out a gun and try to kill as many people as possible. They're not looking for highs -- they're depressed, angry and humiliated. They develop plans and strategies for years. They plan everything except their way of escape. Its more about suicide. I doubt if there is much fun in that!

God killed a lot of people in the bible: the flood, all of Egypt's first-born sons, plagues, etc. We were created in God's image. You do the math. We are simply emulating that which we consider divine.

"I am now convinced that children should not be subjected to the frightfulness of the Christian religion.... If the concept of a father who plots to have his own son put to death is presented to children as beautiful and as worthy of society's admiration, what types of human behavior can be presented to them as reprehensible?"
— Ruth Hurmence Green

It is interesting that every time God gives direct orders to anyone, it is always "Thou shalt kill."
— Newsweek magazine

"We preach peace, forgiveness, tolerance and love. We practice vengeance, persecution, hatred and domination. My personal beliefs are supported and validated by my convictions.
Oh, and never forget .... my religion is truth, yours is a lie."
— Religion, paraphrased (unknown)

Kill one man and you are a murderer. Kill millions and you are a conqueror. Kill all and you are God.

Some people enjoy it. Some people are uncivilized animals, too, and should be locked up....your question made me think of capital punishment, though. I think that proves your point that some people do enjoy killing other humans.
