I don't stereotype Muslims. Yes, there are terrorists who just so happen to be Muslims. It is not a reflection on Muslims just because there are some stupid fools who are missing a few brain cells, doing horrible acts in the name of their religion. It is a reflection instead upon the warped thinking of fanatical idiots.

I understand why you are asking this question. It is sad that so many people do assume that Muslims are associated with terrorists. I remember that right after 9/11, the very nice Muslim owners of the gas station across the street had their huge plate glass window smashed in and people wrote hate messages on their business. It was sad. It cost the owners a lot of money to fix the window and they lost a lot of business at first. These were very nice people who every time I came in there to get my popcorn and soda (they had the best popcorn), they would frequently give it to me for a reduced price because I was in there so much. They always greeted me with a smile and kind words. When this happened to them, I and many others, offered our support and sympathy.

The whole notion of what terrorists do is motivated by ignorant hatred, intolerance for anyone who thinks differently than they do, and by selfishness. One can find people like that in any race and religion. Take the Oklahoma City bombing for instance. That guy was white and NOT a Muslim. It is unfortunate that Muslims have been singled out because of the rotten attitudes and actions of the few that embrace a radical form of the religion that even the majority of Muslims denounce. This is partly why there is so much tension and friction in that region: these radically-minded terrorists want to force their own people to believe as they do, and impose their own system of insanity on others. Those who resist are killed. If Muslims all believed as the radical terrorists do, then why is it that peaceful, law-abiding and kind-hearted Muslims are being killed every single day by these same hateful terrorists?

I am a Christian and do not embrace the Muslim religion. Yet I do respect it. It has its merits and I know that it is a religion of peace. It is truly sad that out of ignorance and hatred, many people choose to be racist to Muslims and choose to stereotype them. I don't do that myself, as I believe that is wrong.

Its all the MEDIA!

The Western Media has caused the west to believe in their point of view, and only giving one side of the story blinds the people viewing: that is almost everybody. It has made its "victims" extremely ignorant, and I am truly proud of those who see through its schemes. The Media has forced its viewers to believe that Islam is a violent, bloody, intolerant religion, but in reality this is actually the opposite. If people would stop accepting their television sets as their teachers, more people would know the actual truth about Islam. The Media reports misleading stories, gross exaggerations, inaccurate information, and false statements about Islams and Muslims to undermine the religion, and unfortunately, this propaganda is a success--many many Americans believe everything they hear on the news or read in the newspaper. What they fail to realize is that what they read/hear is only one point of view of a bias Media that has been criticizing Muslims with false information vigorously since 9/11.

Terrorism is CONDEMNED in Islam; it is not allowed, period. Neither is innocent murder, suicide of any kind, forced marriages or forced conversions. These are all misleading fabrications composed by the Media. You can't always believe what you hear.

Terrorists are not true Muslims; they use Islam as a mask to cover up their dirty work, and give Islam a bad name. It is not fair for the majority of Muslims, who oppose terrorism and denounce violence that is occurring. Unfortunately, the Media will never let this be known, making it look like Muslims support these radical actions, when in reality they absolutely do not.

Because they listen to the media that spreads lies about Islam and Muslims and let the media think for them. There are some Westerners who have the education to learn about Islam but go to unreliable Muslim bias websites to learn about Muslims instead of looking at reliable Muslim sites like http://www.sultan.org to learn about Islam or they may think that Muslims don't like Kaffurs in the Masjid and don't know where Muslims or an Imam is to ask questions about Islam.

The sad thing is that many people do stereotype Muslims after what happend on 911.This is ,to my mind , not very fair to anyone.I myself have many Muslim Friends and they are some of the most loving people I have ever known, and I have known them for many years.We are now entering a new age in which we all will get to know each other on a more deeper level than we do now. a true christian would be martyred for his belief just as a true muslim would die for his. In your Koran I think in surah 66 it goes on to say slay the infidel and make no friend with an unbeliever. Your own bible breeds hate and lies. You train your young about jihad which means holywar. Tell them if they die for allah they get a mansion in heaven and get a virgen that when they have sex with her she becomes a virgen over and over again. The truth is you die without jesus you spend an eternity in hell. If any among you are muslim consider the god that you serve. My god laid down his life to die for the sins of the world and picked up his life after three days and rose again. Only god knows the past, present, and future there is no prophecies in the koran to even prove allah's existence dont be deceived. The word of god is 30 percent prophecy with many scriptures predicting the birth of christ, the rise and fall of the roman empire.
