Sorry, personal belongings are not covered by an auto policy. You would have to make a claim on your homeowners or tenants policy. Your property deductible would apply. If there is not much or not much over your deductible, I wouldn't put in a claim on my homeowners policy. This is a part of your claims history & if you have another claim on your homeowners in the next 3 years, especially if it is another theft claim, you may very well get nonrenewed. Insurance companies don't like theft from auto claims on homeowners policies. They feel you should have secured your car better, not parked it where you did, or didn't have so much stuff in your car. Oh, & don't come up with stuff that wasn't in there, this is also a HUGE area for fraud. I can't tell you how many people all of a sudden had their expensive camera in the car!! Hmmmm. I had a boss that actually told a local camera store that if he got one more claim from a theft from auto & we received a receipt from them for a camera, he would report them to the State, well, we never got another...hmmmm.

they are superb. Your loss is what replaced into stolen. whilst it contains the motor vehicle, this is the keys (you left _all_ the keys to a sparkling automobile... interior the vehicle?). i'm additionally having a raffle you do not would desire to have your motor vehicle re-keyed and whether you mandatory to have a alternative key made, it does not fee $800. I only paid a declare the place the guy's truck replaced into stolen and the keys have been lacking. To have a locksmith make a key from the lock it fee approximately $one hundred seventy five (key fob). very own products are actually not coated under the automobile coverage, they are coated under a components coverage which includes a components proprietors or renters coverage. Your coverage would desire to disguise what it fee to change _all_ the keys that have been stolen. this would desire to comprise programming the keys if its mandatory. mutually as I doubt it would fee $800, i'm having a raffle it would fee approximately $3 hundred (inclusive of any door lock distant as properly). in spite of everything it particularly is executed, evaluate your self fortunate that they did not scouse borrow your form new motor vehicle with the keys you left in it. mutually as the loss may be coated under coverage this is totally achieveable you would be paid much less then what you paid for the motor vehicle.

I race cars: I hate to tell ya but good luck. Insurance companies find ways to not have to pay a claim
This man is an idiot. Insurance is a LEGAL BINDING CONTRACT. if they don't pay what they cover u can sue them its been done many times. so if they try to not pay u. take them to court. as far as your question. no one here would be able to answer that but you. all contracts state EXACTLY what is covered or insured by your company on the contract. you will have to read your contract and see for yourself but I will say this. Insurance company's never pay for items INSIDE the care only the car itself and whats ON the car. this does not include aftermarket accessories added to the car beyond stock. And after reading your insurance policy that u posted your only coverd by liability what that means is. your only coverd if your in a wreck. ur not covered if your car is stolen. Liability only covers damage to another persons car or injury to them. Not you. they cover what u would have to pay someone else in an accident. they dont cover YOU.
Bodily Injury Liability$100,000 per person / $300,000 per accident
Property Damage Liability$100,000 per accident
This means they only cover up to $100,000 per person in medical bills for the person you injure in an accident / This means they only cover $300,000 per vihicle dlamage for the person you hit.

No. Your insurance only covers the CAR and parts of the car. Personal belongings may be covered under your homeowners insurance but will still be subject to a deductible.

I doubt that the insurance will cover personal items in the car. A lot of the time, cars are broken into becasue of the personal property that the crooks can see inside. Insurance companies would prefer that you didn't leave the items in the car to begin with. good luck.

absolutely not. loose property is NEVER covered on auto policies- only items permenantly attached to the vehicle that came from the factory.
If you have homeowners insurance.. that will cover it. but otherwise.. no way.
and dont listen to that first answerer.. good lord.. gotta love people who think "the world is out to get them!" When you sign your policy.. you have to read it. Insurance companies dont have big meetings with their employees and say "mwa haha come on guys... lets deny all we can!" They simply only cover what the policy states... why would they cover more? Its someones own stupidity if they dont read their contract.. dont blame the company.

Well, I hate to tell you that it isn't going to be covered but not for any of the reasons listed. You didn't list that you have theft insurance on your vehicle. This is the only reason. Also, they would cover it if you could produce reciepts for the items. They may want to investigate the fact that they were in the vehicle, but in the long run if you can prove you no longer have the items, they will end up paying.

I hate to tell ya but good luck. Insurance companies find ways to not have to pay a claim. in this case they'll ask for proof of whatever was stolen . reciepts etc..was it bolted down was it visible , i have also heard if it was an older item they only pay percentages of items real value. and your policy looks like they'll only pay up to 500 bucks minus your deductible.

As long as you can prove what was in the vehicle, it should be no problem. Don't try claiming your pre civil war silver dollar collection was in the trunk unless you can prove it.
