poetry, metaphor, allegory
What was the context of the passage, that some posters cited below? Like most Bible passages, it is not there to make give specific factual details, but to teach an important spiritual lesson.
As a very wise minister once preached - We know WHO (God) will be in Heaven, not WHAT will happen there.

Here's your verse, that Jesus said: Mark 12:25:
"For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven."
You see, procreation was given to "be fruitful and multiply and fill up the earth" (Genesis 1:22).
The Bible describes a multitude that none could count standing before the throne of God. With the earth populated, we will not need to birth children to put the world out of ecobalance.
Interestingly, the angels are not beings created to give birth. They are messengers. So, in the resurrection, everyone will have a gonadectomy. Thanks to God, we don't have to kill here to get a harem in heaven.

No, the Bible doesn't say any such thing. In heaven we will still be the same individual person we were on earth. The Bible does say there will be no marriage in heaven. But it doesn't say we lose an essential part of our individial identity.

News flash; The Bible makes no such statement regarding those in heaven. It is written that those "in Christ" are neither male/female, slave/free, Jew/Gentile. Taken in context, it is not stating those in Christ are neutered. They are perceived and accepted as the same and on equal footing before God. One has no pre-eminence over another.

It simply means that there will be no procreation in Heaven since those who were saved make up its human citizenship. God the Father will rule and we are His children. It is a family concept.

I think we will recognize each other as a male or female, but it won't matter. I don't think our anatomy will be male/female, just our characterizes. One doctor that died and went to heaven said the first thing he did was lift his gown to see what he was. He said he was nothing, there was nothing there, even though he felt like himself otherwise.

The Bible does not say people will be neither male nor female. It does say we will not be married (in this manner we will resemble the angelic realm).
