Reading to me when I was little, having me read to her when I learned to read, playing canasta with me and taking me to tournaments as her partner, and her to die for apple pies. One Easter, she had all the aunts, uncles, cousins, everyone there for dinner. She had a huge electric mixer and was making mashed potatoes. She lifted the beaters out of the bowl without turning off the mixer and mashed potatoes flew all over the room. I laughed so hard I fell off the chair. At 4th of July, we were still peeling potatoes off the window sills and cupboards.

The smell of her baking coming from the kitchen, her telling me that I need to eat something, looking at her sitting in the rocking chair - reading her bible - and singing hymns.
The most favourite of them all - her coming my hair on the porch (which hated back then)!!! (smile)

Oh god the family get togethers, all the food, the smell of fresh brewed coffee, the home made pizza, her sneaking me ring dings, ....I miss grandma

Having a birthday party for my dog. We made cupcakes and fed them to all the dogs :) and put those pointy birthday hats on all of them!! haha oh so fun

Her claw-foot bathtub (we painted the toenails), her teaching me to spit water melon seeds in the yard and her daring my sister to eat a milk-bone dog biscuit. She actually ate it!
