You would have had a much better chance of getting into medical school in India. The only thing that matters there is doing well in the exam. If you do well enough you get in. That's all there is to it. In the US you have to impress them in the interview, get good scores on the MCAT and still try and tell them that you are good at something other than academics. And even after all that they may turn you down because they don't like your accent! Besides medical school in the US is really expensive. In India the best medical schools are close to free.

It is possible as most medical school have minimum requirements that can be met at a community college. However, it is very unlikely. This is because the competition to enter medical schools have become very intense and so the more you have to offer the better your chances on being accepted.
Nowadays, it is most common for people to earn a 4-year degree, do volunteer work-a hospital or nursing home would be good, earn very high scores, do very well on the medical entrance exam in preparation for medical school. It is very challenging.
But you should work towards your goals at the community college and perhaps then your situation may have turned in favor of a University education for you.

Good Luck

Most community colleges aren't four year programs. If you go to a four year accredited college and get good MCATS then you will be accepted. You will have to leave your parents then though unless you get into a med school right by where you live. There is a lot of aid available to students. If you don't have money, there are a lot of grants and loans available. Apply to some schools in your area and talk to the admissions counselors. You CAN do it. I have friends who have nothing who go to school.

You should look into getting a need-based scholarship. Generally, if you are self-supporting (and have been for 1 year), and don't make much money, you will qualify for a need-based scholarship (basically a discount).
