i've was with this guy for two looooong years. we had a very passionate and deep connection. the day before it ended we got in a fight. we only argue about once every month or so. i thought i could just go home cool down and we would both want to make up the next day. i haven't had a phone conversation with him in 2 weeks..he sent me a text that said "your are the one who left. you walked out on our relationship" and when i called him today to see how he was he didn't answer and sent me a text that said "take a hint"..... is this a normal way to break up with someone when you are 25 years old and have been with them for 2 years? the day we last saw each other he said i love you, you are my hero and was needing every second of my attention even though we spend about everyday together....i am so confused..... i don't want him back now but is this an acceptable way to break up with someone

From a guy's point of view, it seems to me that this guy was an asshole for the way he broke up with you, so no it's not an acceptable way to break up with someone, but you see it's alot easier to break up with someone to break up with someone when they don't have to look the person in the face and do it so he's definitely trying to put some distance between you and him but breaking up with somebody through the phone, e-mail, text-messaging, MySpace is just harsh and it shows that they had no respect for the relationship and for you as a person so if he had respect for you and the relationship he would have broken it off with you in person

good luck and hope this answers your question

No, but there's a lot of guys that do stupid things like that to break up a relationship. I've watched a show about celebrity males leaving notes, announcing it on talk shows, or showing they are with someone else to show they are through with their previous relationship. Sometimes it's hard to see a man's "evil" side, but there are several ways guys ditch their girlfriends in a non-assertive way (and vice versa).

I think that you already know that this is NOT an acceptable way to break up...on his part! But, apparently you guys broke up and you just need to move on. He may not want to be an adult about it, but you may need to be. Stop texting him, stop calling him, go out and have fun! No man is worth your tears, and the one who is won't make you cry!

You know I'm tired of hearing women say that guys are the same, we are not, if this dude was rude when breaking up with you tuff luck, doesnt mean the next guy to break up with you will be a jerk doing it.

At least you got a text...
some people just ignore you...
it is OK to break up this way nowadays.
enjoy the new freedom.
