Interesting question! My least favourite is anything by Alex Colville. The man is a military fanatic when it comes to his art and it always leaves me cold. I'm sorry to admit this because he is actually a fellow Nova Scotian and I should probably be more supportive of world famous local talent but I can't help it. His work is the antithesis of my ideas about art.
Check out his work...

To the person above: If you don't know about art, why are you trying to answer a question about it?

To the questionaire:
My least favorite work is "The Scream" by Edvard Munch. I guess it just kind of creeps me out. Not a Munch fan in general. I saw it on this guy's tee shirt the other day. Right under that, would be anything by Salvador Dali. It's rumored that all of his paintings are of things that he sees in his dreams while he's coming down off a hi.

The Mona Lisa.

It wasn't the painting in itself really...it was the anticlimactically 'personal encounter' with the painting. Small, behind a ton of glass, 100 Japanese people trying to take a picture.

Every time I see a picture of that painting I am reminded of that day. Makes me sad in a way and that makes it my least favorite famous work of art.

I agree with turtle, the first answerer should stay out of this section if they're so disinterested.

My least favourite is James McNeill Whistler's 'Whistler's Mother'. I can't really explain why I don't like it, it just seems a bit too cold and calculating for my likeing. A bit like a formal court portrait from the 1800s rather than somebody's mother.

PS Zoltar like your stuff, esp. Winter Cat.
