I'm intrested in knowing how it was for you after the surgery, really would like to know how you slept at home , if you can still sleep on your stomach or side or is it too sore.

It sure has helped me feel much better. There was not any big changes in my life style other than I could start eating all the foods that had been giving me pain and I was able to start sleeping at night.
I was out of the hospital in half a day. The doctor sent me home with some great drugs that I only used half of. It was fun watching TV after using the medication. The doctor told me not to work out at the gym for at least a month. Sleeping was much better than before I had the surgery.. I think I mostly slept on the couch on my back if I recall. I think I had about a week to recover.
Now I have three little scars and only one can really be seen. They do this surgery much better now day. My mom has a big scar from when they did the surgery the old way.
Just don't worry too much about it and just go for it. Ask the doctor to show you some of the pictures of the surgery if your into that type of a thing.
On a different note.... As soon as I had the surgery I ran into the herbalists that tried to tell me that there are natural remedies that I should have pursued.... ha,ha... whatever..
Oh, and I think the worst part of the surgery was that silly thing they call a gown...
-Best of wishes and peace to you..

I was very sore after this surgery and it was even done with a Lazar. I slept basically sitting up in my bed for almost 2 weeks cause it hurt so bad to lay down. If you are a female (sorry didn't look at your name or avatar) your breasts might be sore also. After I tried off from a shower I was shocked at the pain I had up there.
Walking and sitting with a pillow helps alot. Best of luck to you and FYI stay on top of the pain medication.

gallbladder sugery is usually done laproscopically now and has an easy recovery for the most part. when i had mine out that hadn't quite been perfected so i have a regular scar. it really wasn't as bad as most said it would be. i could sleep on the opposite side of the scar but not my stomach for about 4 weeks. other than that i was fine. don't worry, you'll do great. with the way surgery is now, it's a piece of cake.

I had mine out those days. The physician did it arthroscopically. I had 4 tiny incisions on my abdomen. each and every became a pair of million/2 inch long and that they have been severely spaced. once I awakened I asked if there have been a topic. The nurse asked my why i became asking. I advised her i did not have any soreness in any respect and became thinking why they hadn't finished the surgical treatment. She certain me I have been decrease and once I checked, specific adequate I had 4 products of tape on my gut. They have been appropriate to the size of those tiny infant Band-Aids. I went domicile, slept nice, and on no account took a soreness pill. I in all probability threw away $500 in drugs if I had offered them on the line. I guess there are little ones crying now. I had my surgical treatment on Tuesday. I took it elementary on Wednesday, did each and every of the backyard artwork on Thursday and spent Friday swing a hammer. different than for being slightly groggy once I awakened i think of i ought to have long previous suited from the well-being middle to the save with none subject in any respect. pay attention UP!!! in the event that they'd desire to do it the old vogue way, it somewhat is going to be a thoroughly distinctive animal than I had. you will harm, do not turn down the soreness meds while they provide them and supply your self a pair of weeks before you initiate doing something a lot greater suitable than going to the tub room. I had decrease than 2 inches of incision. in the event that they'd desire to do the "L" incision it somewhat is going to be some thing like 7 or 8 inches complete. The belly wall muscular tissues will in all probability could do an excellent variety of therapeutic and you'd be very uncomfortable. Ask the first practitioner appropriate to the technique s/he intends to apply. which will prepare you. stable success, i wish you have it greater handy than I did yet i can not think of that occurring.

Instead of the surgury try the gallbladder flush.

It worked for me. Get 12 lemons, a pint of virgin olive oil and a box of epsom salts.

Mix the juice of each lemon and 3 tblspoons olive oil in a cup of water. 12 cups and have them ready. then mix 1 tblspn epson salts in a glass of water and drink four glasses of this mixture over the period of an hour. then evry 15 minutes drink a glass of the lemon juice/olive oil mix. Start in the evening, stay home and don't plan to do anything the next day. I passed 50 - 100 stones in one night and after one day I felt great.

There are other versions to this cleanse online that you can check out and in my case I still have my gall bladder.

I know someone who had that operation. From what I can remember, it was a while (maybe a couple of weeks to a month?) before she could comfortably sleep on her stomach and things like sitting up hurt. Not terribly, like a sharp stabbing pain, but just a really bad ache.

Your doctor will tell you to watch your diet from now on, too. Fatty foods will wreak havoc with your system.
