how do i shoot the ball in pool?

with the pool stick grab it near the end with your dominant hand..than place the front end of the stick in between your thumb and pointing finger...and slide it back in forth leaning towards the center of the ball. With the dominate hand slide it back (keeping the position of the other hand) and hit the ball.
