He can't say that with any authority, only God has that knowledge and power. Maybe he's trying to hurt your feelings.

I can personally vouch that the Pope did not say you personally were going to haell as you claim he did because the pope does not use the word "haell".

He can't. The Pope has no power to send anyone to hell or to heaven for that matter. This is just one of the falsehoods of the Papacy. Only God has the power to condemn anyone. These so called powers are some of the reasons people protested against the Roman Catholic Church during the Reformation. Martin Luther lead the charge in the 1500's ,protesting the sale of indulgences. These were get outta jail free passes to continue in sin if you payed the Papacy money. Totally against God's word. Then of course the Inquisition claimed thousands of innocent lives. Then also the recent unveiling of widespread child molestation in the priesthood. Mary worship and etc etc. Unfortunately the Roman Catholic Church has a terrible past. Find yourself a good Bible teaching church and get out from under the thumb of the Pope. Millions have done it already. Cap'n Arlo

where's haell? is that near queens?
why do you think you are so special, that someone needs to personally know you to determine you are bound for hell?
what circumstances excuse your behavior, above anyone else that does the same?
let's say, you are a thief. if you die unrepentant, "saved" or not, you will suffer and reap what you have sewn.
there are many transgressions that will consume people and condemn them to hell. do you really think there will be no retribution for the ways you have wronged others?
most christians err by thinking that all they need is belief, when in reality, Gods saving grace can be rejected.
if you care, turn from your sin. believe in He who saves you and work on your salvation with fear and trembling.

The Pope did not say anything of the kind.
Here is the full text of the new document that states nothing new: http://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/congregations/cfaith/documents/rc_con_cfaith_doc_20070629_responsa-quaestiones_en.html
Most Christian denominations believe that each of them is the fullest version of the Church of Christ.
While the Catholic Church also believes that she is "the highest exemplar" of the mystery that is the Church of Christ, she does not claim that non-Catholic Churches are not truly Christian. The Catholic Church teaches:
Furthermore, many elements of sanctification and of truth are found outside the visible confines of the Catholic Church: the written Word of God; the life of grace; faith, hope, and charity, with the other interior gifts of the Holy Spirit, as well as visible elements.
Christ's Spirit uses these Churches and ecclesial communities as means of salvation, whose power derives from the fullness of grace and truth that Christ has entrusted to the Catholic Church.
All these blessings come from Christ and lead to him.
For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, section 819: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt1sect2chpt3art9p3.htm#819
With love in Christ.

Doubtful he is saying anyone is going to "haell," but he might have inferred you might go to hell by your life choices, but in reality... that is just "his opinion," and he really doesn't have a right to pronounce that judgment on anyone.

The pope never said you were going to hell. He knows that's up to you and Jesus alone.
Is there something you want to tell us about yourself?

who cares what the pope says......the bible says that those that deny Jesus as the Son on God and do not believe in Him will not recieve eternal life but that they are already condemned. So you send yourself to hell because this is Gods plan to give eternal life to whoever believes and He doesnt want anyone to perish in this condemnation.

well if he is speaking to one matter of faith and morals then it would be infallible and he'd say that the answer came to him through the holy spirit. personally i wouldnt bother with what he says all the time, he's been doing alot of damage since he became pope.
