Those who point at Leviticus and claim that homosexuality is a sin usually totally ignore the verses in the same book that forbid eating pork and shelfish, wearing mixed fibers, etc.
Most Christians also totally ignore the many verses where God commands his followers to kill people.

depends on who you talk to, but yes, I know a lot in bible study who pick and choose, they wont study something if it goes againsts what they want. but there are a lot who try very hard to live up to the word of God.
