I took Percocets for many years and I never had negative reactions. It was the best pain reliever I ever had. I think you will be pleased with it. Just remember everybody reacts differently, so what happens to one person may not happen to you.

Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects:
shallow breathing, slow heartbeat;

seizure (convulsions);

cold, clammy skin;

confusion, unusual thoughts or behavior;

severe weakness or dizziness; or

feeling light-headed, fainting.

Less serious side effects are more likely to occur, such as:

drowsiness;

nausea, vomiting, constipation;

dizziness, headache; or

skin rash or itching.

Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.

Well, it varies with each person. I am used to hydros as well. When I was out I tried percocets. They didnt do so well on my pain, but like I said, everyones body is different, hopefully they work for you. They didnt make me feel nervous at all. I think they made me giggle a lot.
Good luck.

Everyone here says 'everyone is different'--proving that everyone is the same. 8^) But they're right. What works for you might not work for others.

I've tried percocet and it just makes me sleepy. It's not that different from hydrocodone (if that's what you mean by 'hydros').

Try them and see how they work for you.

I sure hope you feel better!

just like everyone else has said, -- everyone reacts differently.
percocet didn't bother me until I took it for several days & then it made me really nauseated. I had to switch to darvocet (similar family) which didn't bother me at all.
just follow your doctor's instructions.
