Religion is where mankind took what God gave us and added his opinions and ideas, then try to get others to follow.
Get a New Testament. Read it. Let God deal with you on a personal level, then make your own decision.
Christianity is a personal relationship with God and doing as He leads you.

You can't equate the christian religion to magic. The two are in opposition. Magicians never reveal their methods, however, God has revealed everything to us. You just choose to reject His revelations.

It's not something easily explained to the non-Believer.

There's no magic, no tricks, no mirrors.
