You imply that you know a designed purpose to a certainty, and considering I don't think you have grounds to do this, it's not a fact and it is cruel. Wouldn't you say that the mouth was made for stuff to go into? But we vomit. Ok, if that's no good, the skin was designed as a container and protective layer. But we purposefully pierce through that designed barrier with needles for vaccines or knives for surgery. Do you have a problem with those? And if the butt was not designed for anal sex, why is the prostate most easily stimulated from inside the anus?

You are correct, as these medical professionals testify:
"Evolutionarily and anatomically, the rectum simply wasn't designed for sex and it takes getting used to. (The fact that anal sex is inherently traumatic is an important reason why HIV transmission is so [much] more common among gay men than heterosexuals.)" -- Hunter Handsfield, M.D., Senior Research Leader, Battelle Seattle Research Center, University of Washington

"The tissues of the anus/rectum were not designed for intercourse and are more vulnerable to injury than are vaginal tissues." -- Kelly Shanahan, M.D., board certified OB/GYN, chair of the OB/GYN department at Barton Memorial Hospital in Lake Tahoe

"The anal sphincter muscle is not anatomically designed to comfortably admit external objects--it is designed to relax and stretch when stimulated internally by rectal fullness from stool. The automatic reflex is for it to contract and tighten when pressure is applied externally. So relaxation of the sphincter for external penetration is learned over time because otherwise it is very uncomfortable, and must only be done with gentle continual pressure, and lots and lots of lubricant. The risks, even with gentle insertion, are laceration of the anal tissue, and rectal mucosa, resulting in pain, bleeding, and difficulty passing stool comfortably." -- Western Washington University Student Health Center 'Ask the Doc' team

Cindy I have written you a private email to explain some things that I don't think you understand. But I want to say here that straight people also do anal intercourse occasionally. Also I would like to point out that all gay guys do not do anal.
Natural is a word that is hard to define. It has different meanings to different people. But in the context with which it is usually thought of, being gay is indeed, natural.

No, you're stating an opinion. Facts are independent of opinions. Really. I'm not pulling your leg.
Are you aware that many heterosexual women enjoy anal sex with their partners? Or that many heterosexual men enjoy anal stimulation during oral sex or while masturbating? It's not a gay thing--there's a lot of nerves in that area.
As far as homosexual tendencies not being natural: Are you aware that male hamsters will have sex with one another--whether there's a female around or not? Let's not forget worms, which are individually male and female at the same time. Some species of clown fish will change sex to enable breeding. The world's much bigger than the inside of your church.

Does it matter? Also, does it matter that "gays" aren't the only ones who do this? Is love only determined by sticking things in places? Also, if that area was made solely for what you say it is, why is it surrounded by very sensitive nerves? If it isn't natural, why do both sexes enjoy having it tickled, teased, and licked?
And how do you know it's not natural to be gay? If it isn't, than the entire animal kingdom has a problem.

LabGrrl wrote: "By the way, it's 'not natural' for women to have sex except for within 3 days of ovulation....and sex outside those 6 days doesn't make babies....except in a few wacky situations....your degree is in, what?"
LabGrrl, God created sex to be a natural, beautiful thing between a husband and wife for many reasons, in addition to getting pregnant. (Even many people with a degree know that.)

Your prostate gland in reachable best from your anus. For men it is most stimulating.
Computers are not natural either, same as pace makers & most life saving surgery, or tampons.
