why is it that other atheists respond and give answers about what Christians believe? Usually done in derogatory way too

Because they can. Most of the Christians on this board have a thin grasp of the tenants of the faith. I see a LOT of non doctrinal
stuff on here. Example: "There is one God and His name is Jesus Christ." I see this over and over. The persons stating that
have no idea what they are talking about in terms of Christianity.
Many atheists, such as myself, are highly educated in both religion and other non religious subjects. I had years of religious training.

Whom are you asking?

It seems Christians seem to believe they can read atheists minds, at least from the responses to your questions. Is this turnabout acting as fair play?

Atheists often came out of a Christian faith and may know a great deal about the answer to your questions. Since you gave no references, I cannot speak specifically about possible motivations, but there are probably several.

By the way, the same thing happens when questions are directed toward atheists. This is an open forum (which I support), and you can ignore ANY ANSWER and never see it again if you give it a thumbs down. Great feature, and I use it when necessary.

each and every of the 4 communities you point out 3 of that are supposedly christian besides, are very a lot bent on the concept that their religions are superb and the something everybody is heathens in some way. meanwhile the Catholics are represented some distance too heavily with the help of pedohiles whilst preaching sexual morals and intolerance of gays to everybody else. thoroughly hypocritcal Mormons are into polygamy this is purely incorrect because of the fact it creates an unnatural stability between adult males and females individuals and destroys the bond of intimacy that comes from a one to a minimum of one relationship jehovahs witness are very purely a nuisance going door to door as they do and treating their little ones the way they do. whilst i carry no specific dislike for elementary and good muslims, soo a lot evil has been finished those days in the call of that faith that its elementary to be certain the place all that anger comes from. authentic Christianity does require that we tell it like it somewhat is and unfold the gospel of peace and strong will however the intolerance isn't proper. we are advised with the help of Jesus to not decide others or we are able to be judged so if its any convenience they'd desire to all get theirs in the tip

Just maybe it has to do with the fact that most Atheists came from other religions. It's usually by questioning those religions that we became Atheists--or at the very least, asking questions is what started the ball rolling.

Why aren't we qualified to answer questions on religion, then?

looks at your posts here. You have how many atheists VS two Christians at the time I am posting this. The atheists has said nothing bad or derogatory about anyone. Hailstorm called atheists uneducated and we come back with crap. Jonmcn49 said he attacks these enemies. So who is calling the names here? Who is rude here? I believe its the Christians.

we are not saying that Christians are uneducated and you fight back with crap... nor do we say we are here to attack you because you are an enemy.

Point taken yet??

Same reasons the christians do it. I understand why christians and atheists do this. We keep telling the other side whats going on and getting ignored. The difference being is atheists have proof, common sense, and sound reasoning on there side. christians have a pretty good hunch. So you can see why things can get alittle harsh.

well everyone has a right to an opinion and very few are like that, and those who do do it could handle it a bit better than they do, and chirstians are sometimes just as rude and hurtful as atheists too. some people on both sides should handle their problems with more maturity but they do have a right to ask questions in any form that may be.

One reason I am an Atheist is that I had Christianity rammed down my throat until my mid teens. I figured if it was really so good, would they need to use brainwashing techniques. I answer because I have an opinion.
I also answer questions for women only, just because I can.

Um.....also the other way around.

I try not to assume what other christians believe, but I do point out that some christians can be hypocritics sometimes. But never a blanket statement.

Also, I've seen christians tell others what atheists "believe". Such as: fearing god, eating babies, following in the footsteps of hitler, lying on purpose, following satan, etc.

a lot of people answer for other people. and theres a good chance that some atheists used to be christian so they know the answer.
