i have both. i usually wear my glasses at night and contacts during the day. contacts get really easy to put in after about 3 days of wearing. i would say do both if you can. if you play sports are active or go out dancing, contacts are just easier. then you dont have to worry about getting sunglasses with a perscription

I use both too. Contacts are great, especially if you think you look bad in your glasses. Maybe you need a better frame? I just got a new "Lennon" style frame that my wife thinks I look "hot" in!
If you're having trouble putting your contacts in, here's some tricks to help:
Dry your finger tip off fully and then place the contact on the finger tip. Put a small drop of saline in the curved hollow (don't wet your finger!)
Use eye drops right before you do this.
Then put it in.The contact will stick to your eye instead of the finger.
Make sure you place the contact on your fingertip "delicately" so there's as little contact with your finger and the contact as possible.
I also tilt my head all the way back so gravity helps this along.
You can also try "sliding" the contact up a little bit once you put it in your eye, and slowly closing your eyelids as you pull your finger back.
If you're still having trouble, I've put the contact on the space between the nail and the finger tip. That way there's as little contact on the "finger side" as possible, so the contact will grab the eye instead.

Hi, and you look lovely with your glasses on to. I also have both, and find different times and situations call for different eyesight enhancement. I loved my lenses as I had glasses for a long time and no lenses. Now I too like to wear glasses they are so easy to wear.
Go back to your eye specialist and ask them to show you how to put your lenses in easily. I find there are several things that make it easy.
Practise, not blinking, holding the upper eyelid open and not looking at myself in the mirror while doing it.
Good luck. Hope it helps.

I wear contacts and glasses. Like at school and work i wear contacts. And at home or sleeping over somewhere i wear my glasses. But its all up to you. I had troubles with my contacts at first but now its a snap i pop them in easily and out is even easier. What i do to put my contacts in is:
say your putting your left eye contact in...
1. i put the contact on the tip of my right pointer finger
2. i use my pointer and middle fingers on my left hand to hold open my left eye lids
3. i put the contact in my left eye with my right hand but wait...
4. leave your fingers on the eye lids and roll your eye around then gently blink and you should be good to go!

You should get glasses first and than proceed to getting contact lenses. Glasses should give you better vision acuity. Contact lenses do not always give as clear vision as glasses do. Plus, contacts should be removed daily to allow for proper oxygen flow to the eye.

i use contacts, and have my glasses for backup.
i think it sort of depends on what kind of person you are, like if your rushed in the morning glasses are easy to slip on, while contacts take a little more time. If you lose things easily, contacts are easily replaced, and glasses are WAY expensive to lose or break.
for me, contacts are easy and glasses are a good "just in case" plan.

Hey, this is a very personal decision, why ask other people's opinions?
You find contacts are a hassle, you love your glasses.
Isn't the answer, for your personal lifestyle, obvious?

I agree with Kalice_Rez. As time goes by you'll get faster at putting them on and off.
