Get an attorney even if it's a court appointed attorney.
Then, plead guilty to a lesser charge. Find out which one is a misdemeanor and plead guilty of that offense.
If you have no priors you'll probably get off with a fine. Hell, noboby want's to imprison someone for a little pot anymore.

Get yourself a lawyer first and foremost. If you can't afford one, the state should offer you a public defender. But any attorney should be able to kick the charges down if it's your first offense. You might have to take monthly drug tests and do some community service but it beats the hell out of jail.

Growing in your yard? Wow, that is dumb.
Anyways, if it is just one plant and you have no other record. A good lawyer might be able to get the manufactoring charge dropped. I would recommend you start calling lawyers in the morning.

Get a lawyer and why would you even have a marijuana plant growing in your yard to begin with?, that's just asking to get busted.

i smoke so don't give me any excuses
you got to be STUPID for growing a plant where a cop can see it. come on!!!!
did you make bail?
you can still get a court appointed lawyer if you meet financial requirements (your broke), call the court clerk and request one
ps next time(and there will be a next time) either grow indoors or some where down the road

I don't know what the penalty is in NC, but you may be able to strike a plea bargain with the prosecutor in return for less charges.

first of all, get an attorney. an attorney will probably be able to get you a plea bargain for the parphernalia charge and the other two dropped, if you didn't say too much to the police.
