Any driver is going to do better than Mikey. I am sorry if it were not for DEI he would not of won a Cup race. The guy just can't drive. It would be a smart move for him as a car owner to just let someone else drive the car for him.

It's a good question. Mikey has good connections and I can think of a ton of promising Busch drivers worthy of a shot. A lot of the answers here smack of ignorance about Mikey and the manufacturer his team works with.
Michael's never been an immortal by any means, but he's no worse than say, Kenny Wallace, Dave Blaney or Ward Burton. The car plays as big a part in this as the driver. Just ask Junior or Kasey and they'll tell ya.

I believe NAPA would wants to see that car on the track more so than have a great spokesman like Mikey. Without Toyota giving MWR the equipment to qualify for races I would put my money on another past champion such as Terry Labonte, Bill Elliott, or Bobby Labonte if he can get out of his contract with Petty Enterprises. At least then they could use up their provisionals at the beginning of the season and try to secure a spot in the top 35.

OK Mike is a owner that's what he needs to concentrate on Owners that drive there own car does not work it has been proven over and over again examples Ricky Rudd Bodine Robbie Gordan theres just to much strain and with mike doin all of these retarded commercials does not help If he was smart he would give up on driving and get someone else to do it But im sure he will be behind the wheel next year

It's not jusk Mikey's driving, Dale Jarret was guaranteed a starting spot in the first 6 races this year and he couldn't break out of 40th position. The top 35 rule had nothing to do with his lack of performance.

You mean there is a Michael Waltrip racing in NA$CAR this year?? If there is, haven't heard of him lately. Give the ride to Kyle Busch. They deserve each other.

Terry Labonte would some because of past champions provisional. Maybe Bill Elliot could also for the same reason. That would assure him of being in 12 races.
OK, enough sarcasms. He needs a good young driver, maybe Kyle Busch would be a good fit there.

Mikey needs another young gun to fill the seat. How about Jason Leffler coming back to the cup series. Hes in a Toyota now in the Busch series and has cup experience. That's a good possibility.

He's going to race next year I gaurantee it. He just needs champions provisionals to get that car into the race so the sponsors are somewhat satisfied.
