If you are talking maybe a maid of honor, a couple of bridesmaids, a best man, and a couple of groomsmen, flower girl and ring bearer, THESE would cost you next to nothing as each rents his own tux and buys her own dress.... The Church usually runs about $50 -$100 and you must give the preacher a "tip" of between $50-$100 as well. Then, the flowers, if you want them in the church, figure on at least $200-$500 and UP.... now on to the PHOTOGRAPHER--which I know a LOT about since I AM a wedding photographer.... you can GO cheap and just get everybody's SNAPSHOTS, but without a professional photographer (and I mean an ACTUAL PROFESSIONAL),, you are going to be rather disappointed in the quality of the photography and the pictures themselves.... Depending on how many photos you want and how many wedding albums and if you want a video, this can run you from $500 all the way up to several THOUSAND dollars...best bet would be to call and INTERVIEW several professionals to see what type of "packages" they offer.... Then, there is the reception... you said 50 guests... you have to rent the hall or restaurant, pick out the foods, hire the band or DJ for entertainment and dancing at the reception... OR go really cheaply and have a cookout in someone's yard with NO FRILLS.... the restaurant, food and band could run you about $25.00 per person or MORE times the number of guests... SO, your wedding can cost as little as $300 (no pictures, no reception, just a cookout, no photos ) and as much as several THOUSAND and we haven't even MENTIONED the wedding dress.... Ok figure on anywhere from $200 - $2500 for the dress---SHOP AROUND.... you CAN find bargins if you look hard enough.....

If you're budget is small, you can find great deals everywhere! You can go to David Bridal and find dresses for $100. Churches will usually ask for a donation, $150-250 I think is normal. Make sure not to skimp on your pictures, they will be around long after the food and flowers! Hire a good photographer who has a good repuation! Receptions can cost the most. But burn your own CD's so you don't have to hire a band or DJ. You can get a nice cake at the grocery store bakery, I'm not sure the price, but I'm sure it's less than the $2.50-6 a slice a bakery would charge.

Good luck!

National Average is 30,000

My wedding cost 6k for 100 people. Catered, location, full open bar. Cleveland, OH. Very nice. Alot of DIY

For your guest list my wedding would cost about $3,000.

The only thing not included in that is rings. How much you spend on your wedding is a completely personal choice. You can spend $500 for a courthouse ceremony and dinner at a resturant afterwards, or you can spend millions. Whatever you do DONT GO INTO DEBT to pay for it.

about 10-15k for 50 people, but to get it at such a low price you will have to have a wedding off season, to be an inseason bride you have to look as smaller halls, and then highering a caterer. Some halls will rent out , hall , topshelf liq., and cleanup for a few thousand. You have to be flex and really look into your options, such as do you really need the 250$ center pieces on each table or could you do with a few candles and rose pedals. Also, as far as wedding dressed there are ALOT of option, look at target.com has designer wedding dresses now. I have many many more tricks like this, but if you want to talk e-mail me.

it depends on where you're having it, prices vary by geographic location. I had a fairly typical wedding (church ceremony, reception with full dinner, open bar and dancing) in the Chicago suburbs, but we cut a lot of costs by doing our own music through iTunes and hiring friends to be our photographers, and I got my dress at David's Bridal, which is pretty cheap. I also had around 130 guests. so based on what we paid and how many guests you have, I would estimate around $10-20K.

"Nice" is a very subjective term...

My first wedding was done in a park with 20 people attending... total cost including the dress & reception was about $600.

My lil Brother's wedding was about $30K... 75 guests, big hall for the ceremony & reception, 3 attendants, open bar, etc.

The average cost of a wedding here in the USA is $25,000 to $28,000. Those figures can vary a lot by: * formality of the wedding * where you live (region) * where you want to get married * how much you're willing to spend * how many people you invite * Day of the week ( it's cheaper to get married sunday through thursday

A friend's recent wedding was 30,000 for approx 250 people at $105 dollars a plate and was indeed a 'nice' wedding. So if you are looking for a 50 person wedding at that caliber I would say 6,000 at the minimum.

It really depends on your personal definition of "nice". My church would do it for free. A wedding dress can be about $500 to $1,000. Reception at the church could be potluck. Rental of the church would be free. So at my church, the only cost really would be the dress.

I had a nice wedding for $5000.00.
That was my dress, DJ, church, reception hall, flowers, cake, decorations, food, liquor (of course). My photos were free so that may run you bit more.
**The key is to find a reception location that allows you to use your own caterers and bring in alcohol***
