If thats your goal try your best. Everyone has there ups and downs. You need to look into yourself and find your inspiration. Your young so you have alot of time to figure things out. Trust me I know. I have gone through several career changes and am going through another right now. You never now what you'll be doing down the road for sure. There will always be circumstances. Just keep your head up and follow your passion. There is no perfect politician. I hope you become one of the good ones if you truly decide to make it happen. Just be prepared for the mind games. Life can be cut throat sometimes.

Some of the people on answers are just stupid, don't listen to some them. Think about this, your dream is to get into politics, is it your passion, when you read about it are you happy, if someone offered you the job to become president, but if you take it you might starve or lose everything you have, would you still take it? If you answered yes to these questions, then follow your heart and never give up on your dreams. They aren't going to be given to you and you're going to have to work for them. Don't let anything stop you from doing what you want to do. Good Luck in all that you do!

honey, you don't have to worry about what to say or how to articulate anything right now. you're still young (i know you hate to hear that, right?) and with more years on this earth, you will acquire a better way of speaking/writing.
remember: it isn't always providing the most accurate informaion or writing more than people can read that will get you votes (on here or in politics). most of the time short-and-sweet works. when i ask a question, i just want an answer, not a dissertation. politicians lose me when they drone on and on about any one subject (and i consider myself to be a pretty intelligent person) so i can't imagine how an uneducated voter would feel. furthermore, you can't just say "this is my policy" - well, you can, but it will only take you so far. you need to FEEL what you believe.
on Answers, i would recommend only answering questions that touch your heart and then answer them with feeling. as a politician, anything that Americans (or at least the media) say are important issues, they better be important issues to you. if they are not important to you, people will know and will think you are just another evil politician. when the people want facts, give facts. but most of the time, the people want compassion. they want you to say, "oh, you're poor, i am so sorry for you and i want to help you. here's how..."
but you'll only have to worry about that until you make it big. when you're running for president, you will have a team of public speakers and speechwriters telling you what to say.

Well, I went to read one of your answers. You have to understand that if you are going to talk about political issues you have to deal with facts. You say that "Bush lied." But the truth is that Bush did not lie about WMD's. He may have been wrong, but that's different than lying. And if he lied then so did the French, the Soviets, the UN and the list goes on. Of course he had them, but we screwed around for months giving plenty of time for him to move or bury them or whatever he did. The Bush Administration made the political mistake of making the WMD's too much of an issue, but the invasion was launched for more than just the WMD issue, the policy of the US was regime change, even under the Clinton Administration. The mission was to free the Iraqi people, remove Saddam, and rid the country of WMD's for our own safety. My point to you is that if you are going to talk about these issues you have to deal with reality, not with soundbites from the nutcase left (or right). Imagine if you were a US Senator, would you use the sort of words you use to express yourself. I don't recall any US Senator calling Bush a liar, not even John Kerry did that, I don't believe. But YOU did, and it's simply an inaccurate description of history, it's revisionist history and only a small percentage would agree with the assessment. You can be anti-Bush, or pro-Bush or whatever you want, but when you are inaccurate and overly partisan you only grab about a 30% approval rating, if that.

Don't give up. As for those who reject your answers, take some solace from the words of German Chancellor Otto Von Bismark when he addressed the graduates of a military academy:
"You will leave this place today. One third of you will fail. One third will fall into comfortable mediocrity. The other third will rule Germany".
You can break down our population into roughly those fractions. Try to become of the third which rules the country or have a say in that rule. Remember, the odds are that one half of those adults who gave bad grades to your answers are probably not registered to vote in the first place.

The first thing you need to learn is that NOONE can make EVERYONE happy. Look at the other posts and answers, people are always giving thumbs down and thumbs up, many times for the same answer.
Second, if you can't take thumbs down on yahoo answers how are you going to take people getting in and finding your most personal secrets? People watching and judging your every move?

I have noticed that there are alot of rude people on here. Just ignore them. People act like that when they are ignorant or very insecure and don't feel good about themselves. People like that mistakenly think it makes them look good, but it makes them look foolish. Kinda sad. Just believe in yourself and keep striving for your goals. You also have to remember that politics is a subject that people don't like to discuss sometimes with other people. If you have different viewpoints it can cause a bad argument. So good luck to you and I hope you reach your goals.

Just as long as your getting some kind of rating, thats all that matters...stick to what you believe in even though it may not be popular or "cool"..never give up, my biggest piece of advice to you is this...when your done reading a story, read it again in another paper, read more than 1 source, then try to find the truth ,its mixed up somewhere in the middle...GOOD LUCK

Use Bush as an example...he gets thumbs down all the time for his decisions. He thinks they are good ones, but lots of people do not think so. Don't give up...find ways to reach everybody in other ways. I wasn't comparing you to Bush either...just giving you an example.

Don't trust Answers, there's A LOT of idiots in here. And it's just these people's opinions. You have to get out, discuss this stuff in school with friends or teachers, or with family members.
