He's single, sexy and very attractive, but how do you know if you'll just be another notch in his belt or if there is something more?

I tried to tell him that I was not interested ( I lied ) but then I got all flustered and I think the way my body reacted, he saw right through me, and just smiled...

I agree with Galvatrony and the others who responded here, it's not a good idea to get involved with your boss, because his position gives him unbalanced power over you. It's improper for him to try it on (sexual harassment and all that stuff applies if the advances are unwelcome). I know it can be very flattering in the circumstances, but in the end you're there for only one thing, to get paid to do your job, not to get paid to get laid.

I have worked in a few corporations (global). One, you never really know for sure. Two, it seems as if you have some interest in him too, but only if it is going to be meaningful.

1) Get facts straight - watch him, without any action or words so as NOT to indicate that you may like him.

2) Try to be really perceptive on how he looks at you: is he looking you up and down, staring at your lips or other body parts? That would indicate a temporary physical interest.

3) What kind of things does he say to you? How was your weekend or that TV show - or actually meaningful questions such as how's is the job, family, school, and so on - and really trying to get to know as a person.

4) How does he treat other people: colleagues, customers, clients, friends... It is REALLY IMPORTANT to see how he treats others, because that is the way he will probably treat someone once he is with them.

5) Is he or has he done anything that had a long-term commitment, such a big dedicated project (professional or personal)?

6) if he was married or just over a long relationship within the last 2 years - he probably just wants to have fun.

7) Does he have a good relationship with his mother and, if applicable his sister? If he does, ti is a decent indicator, but NOT determinative.

Later.

Well, I'm not sure but I definitely think you should take this slow and think things through. First of all, he's your BOSS. Which means that if he is just trying to get into your pants, and you let him, he's never going to respect you as a person ever again...so how can he still value you as an employee?

Secondly, actual relationships (in case he IS serious) in the workplace are full of ridiculous drama. And since he's the head honcho, favoritism will inevitably come up.

Tread carefully, that's all I'm saying.

It doesn't matter, hon. He's your BOSS. Check the fine print on your employee handbook; dating your subordinates is probably a BIG no-no....but even if the company didn't say so, it's a bad idea in a million ways.

Work, don't flirt.

There will never be something more and you can get into serious troble for doing the boss. If he is not the highest ranking boss there, both you and him can get fired and other employees will want you gone.

If he's your boss, you should assume you will just be another notch in his belt.

HOW DO I KNOW THIS? Ask the girl who used to do your job.

Leave him alone. You should never get involved with your boss.

Don't give into his sexual advances....just wait it out and see what happens. Then you'll know.
