Okay, well I Currently have a Santa Cruz VP Free with a Boxxer World Cup for the fork. I need a new bike as this one isn't doing it for me.I'm looking at a 2006 Demo 8 II. I'm a sponsored Freerider who does the occasioanl DH race. Tell me what you think.
Note: I'm keeping the same fork...Not a big fan of the Fox 40's.

What don't you like about your current ride? what are you expecting?
I'm taking that neither Santa Cruz nor Specialized are sponsoring you, so you can choose the frame.
I like the Demo platform, but I also think that the VP Free should be pretty good.

For freeride you cant beat the Demo 7. The demo 8 is more directed at dh racing as the demo 7 is a freerider. Another bike to check out is the sx trail. Rides like a "demo 6"
