It's true. Who criticises Catholics the most? They are always Protestants/Lutherans/whatever. Another church, just run from a different location. In my country so-called 'Christian' terrorists shot and blew innocent people up on a regular basis just because said people happened to belong to 'the other side'.

Who slags off Muslims the most? Christians. Come on, you follow four of the same major five prophets. You're 80% of the way to being Muslim yourself.

Who comes on this forum and whinges about Christian cult members like Mormons or Jehovah's witnesses? Men of the cloth who think there were dinosaurs on Noah's Ark and that a date's gone too far when the boy gets a hardon. (Obviously never having had a hardon themselves of course).

I'm atheist and I don't single out any particular religious belief for my contempt, nor do I criticise people for following these beliefs. Some people do, however, and they call themselves Christians. Where's their Christian compassion?

Johnus Maximus, re-read the last paragraph: I DON'T BASH CHRISTIANS, or religious people - just religion in general.

Some people fear the groups closer to thier own as more deceptive and seductive replacements for their own "true "ones.
There should be "truth in advertizing " though

I find this just as true of some secularists who seem to fear moderate or reason-appealing theists more than they do militant fundamentalist Wahabi or Shii Islamists.,let's say.

How could you possibly make such a statement. You have little or no idea what most Christians think, anyone can see that, no doubt.

And being an atheist excuses you to criticize all religions, how convenient. I am a Christian, but not a Catholic, still I believe the Pope is the leader of all Christians. You, of course, would be amazed by the number of non-Catholic Christians that feel that way.

And, those Christians that do have a problem with the Catholic church, for them you assign "contempt" which is quite an over-statement. They disagree on minor points and parts of the Bible and rituals, that's all.

Most non-believers are like you, little people with big heads who think that education equals intelligence, which it does not. That common sense can be taught, it can not. That wisdom can be taught, it can not. BUT, there are bad people in our world and many are atheists, Catholics, other Christians, Taoists, Muslims, etc. There are bad people in every size, shape, and description, women, men, children, and even some dogs and cats. And what would you know about Christian compassion? Zero.

Bad people, in general, are, uneducated or, educated, poor or, rich, black, white, tan, yellow, many have PHD's, many never went to school a day in their lives, some are doctors, lawyers, some go to church, some don't, some are happily married, some aren't, etc.

I am a Catholic and it seems my religion is always under attack! I do not discriminate any other churches. I am a firm believer in free will. I think that is the big temptation. You think you can do this, first off you can, free will. Just keep your faith up and those remakes just bounce off. I have no clue as to why church bashing happens. Just believe and respect other peoples beliefs.

It is true, a lot of hate spreads from religion, but it is the darkness in humanity that causes this so.

A lot of pagans ***** about other religions too, i try to be open to anything, and some of the best debates i have had have been with open minded christians.

My general motto is, believe whatever the hell you want, as long as you believe it because you want to, not because another person/being told you to.

It all stems & starts when a religion gets organized-then the fun starts--some disagree with the tenets of that Christian tribe--so,they form another one. Then the whole process repeats itself--until we see today that Christendom has fragmented into thousands of different squabbling tribes--sad really!!
