Is Biofreeze better for muscle pain/stiffness than Icy Hot or is it all chiropractor-fueled propaganda?

The active ingredients are the same, but Biofreeze contains Ilex, an extract from the Holly scrub. Biofreeze costs twice as much. Is it worth it?

Biofreeze is very much worth it !! For pain and when you need something cold . TRY IT - IT IS WORTH IT!

ASK him for samples - they do have them!

Icyhot and bengay work for those aching muscles, but they have a heating effect.

When you are in pain - you will try anything ONCE

I prefer Biofreeze you do not need a lot and yes it is expensive- (I paid $20 for a very lrg bottle- and that was over a year ago! I use it all the time. I love it for back pain.

THEN there is the other prescription stuff.
My pharmacist mixed up this creme with Baclofen, lidocaine and ketoprofen and It is the really helps to get thru the rough days... (muscle relaxor, numbing agent, and anti-inflammatory)

I always use Biofreeze for muscle pain. I am an active softball and basketball player and I constantly am aching from pain. I have tried Icy Hot but...it just wasn't working for me. All I felt was the cool/hotness on my skin, but nothing deeper than that. Biofreeze goes deeper than that cool/hot feeling. But if you are looking for cheap...than go for Icy Hot. It shouldn't really matter if the muscle pain isn't that severe.

You could also try using an electric heating pad or the heating pads used to relieve women's cramps. It works also when you need a quick fix and cheap one too!!

These products are not hype. They do work to help with pain and stiffness. I have used Biofreeze and do not like it because it makes the area cold. Most muscle pain and stiffness needs heat. I prefer Bengay or Blue Emu as analgesic creams.
