New or old I wouldn’t take a Toyota Camry up to 135 MPH, even one with a sports package. The car was able to go 135 MPH because an expert drove it. If you get an average or even an experience driver he or she probably wouldn’t been able to do it. Imagine if you had a tire blow-out between 105-115 MPH in Camry, regular tires or performance tires, it would still be catastrophic at that speed. Since the car is obviously not a sports car.

Edmunds.com reported 135, tested as new. However, since the car is 7-8 years old and has a few miles on it. It may not top out at that speed any longer. Before you go out and push that envelope, think about everything that could go wrong at that speed. If you lose air in a tire, your screwed. Things happen fast at 130-plus and it takes a long time to shut down.

Does it have speed rated tires? check them first, H or Z? most cars today are speed rated to 105 because of the tire liabilities
