ok well i have some questions.
today i ate:
one banana
one bowl of Special K cereal with about less than 1/2 up of milk. the milk is 2% partly skimmed milk.
one serving of stir fry.
and thats all.
can anyone tell me how many calories that is?


also. i weigh about 130 pounds and i am 14. is that too much? am i over weight? because i think i am really fat. but people tell me im not.
does anyone know how many calories i should be taking per day? thanks.

i usually eat more, but today i woke up late. at 1:30. and i went on a bike ride for about an hour. today was an off day for me because i usually eat a lot.

The calories in the stir fry can really vary depending on the type of oil and amount of fat. It might be as low as 80 calories for vegetables and minimal amount of oil, or as high as 350 calories if the oils and/or meat are high in saturated fats. You can get the caloric content of Special K right off the nutrition label. Use a measuring cup to calculate the serving size that you typically eat. One cup with 2% milk should have about 120 Calories. A banana has somewhere around 90-140 Calories for bananas ranging from medium to large.

From your description of your diet and concern about your weight, I suspect that you might be developing anorexia. Your weight is within the normal range, but it could be a little below average if you are tall. Your caloric intake with the foods you mentioned could be as low as 290 calories for one day, or as high as 520. You cannot live very long on 520 calories per day- it would eventually kill you. A female in her mid-teens should have at least 1800-2000 calories per day, and this is the level where people will generally remain thin.

You should consider talking to your parents, counselor, or family doctor about this topic. Its very difficult to stop anorexia once a person develops the habitats, so you might save yourself a lot misery if you get on track before things get worse. Listen to your friends when you ask them about your weight.

the rule to achieve the weight you want is multiply the weight you want to be by 13. thats how many calories you should consume. you dont sound over weight but we need to know how tall you are.

sounds like you ate less than 1500 cals.
130 is fine, youre not fat and stop obsessing over a number.
