I believe we will go to one of two places in the after-life. The Bible teaches that we will either go to heaven or to hell. Heaven is a paradise beyond comprehension. No one knows exactly what it will be like in heaven, but using the Bible to study it can help give a glimps of the wonders.
"Checking out" via the means of ones own hands, suicide, is not at all a good idea. The Paul writes a verse in the Bible in which he states, "To live is Christ and to die is gain." I thought Paul was writing about suicide when I first read the passage, but with further studying I learned Paul meant that in living, one's life should resemble Jesus Christ. But it is better to die, meaning the reward after death (heaven) is better than life down on this planet.
Anyone reading this should realize the reward I am speaking of only comes to those living a life of pursuit after God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Hell, on the other hand, is a place of continuous torment and torture. I know less about hell because less is written about it. However, I do know that no one wants to go there. People say they would rather go to hell and party with their friends, but in hell there is no partying.

Hi my friend, I have done a lot of reading about these things and believe you have a reason to be here now. Think of the ones you will hurt if you do this thing. Suicide is very close to murder on the scales of justice. You can destroy the body but the eternal part of you doesn't die! Please don't be lazy and take what you assume is the easy way out. Do you want to share your reasons for this possible terrible action? Lets talk!

Your # 2 today. The second person that I have heard talk of suicide. Let me ask you this... If you had to revisit all of the pain you are going through now in another life, would leaving this one be worth it? I know how you feel. I have felt this way too. But life will not always feel as it does in this moment. Things change and Joy comes into our life when we seek it. I personally would rather work through my karma now and look forward to new experiences in the next life. I hope you find peace with whatever you choose.

No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven— the Son of Man. John 3:13
And Jesus proved who he was by the miracles he did.
So before checking out you may want to read the gospel - say John's gospel. See http://www.bcbsr.com/books/john.html

Afterlife / heaven can also be afterlife / hell (heaven and hell being used for lack of better definition). For those who are into finding their spiritual centers, regardless of the path they choose, they will find a sense of heaven. For those who deny themselves enlightenment, they will find a sense of hell. Remember that Satan / the Devil needs an army, too. DO NOT check out. It is the equivalent of murder, and my God cannot forgive that sin, whether you choose to call Him Jesus, Jehovah, Adonai, Diana or any other name. Choose Life. There are always mountains and valleys. Climb again. It will make you stronger. Please email me if I can be of service.

I"ve done some checking out but not come across nothing convincing yet. You would think that if there was anything whatever it was would want to prove to people who are most skeptical, but it seems like you have to have some sort of believe to start with.

When you die, you're just dead.
There is no afterlife, reincarnation, Heaven, Hell or any of that other nonsense. That's all just superstition. When you die you just cease to exist, just like before you were born.
You're going to die relatively soon anyways. Everybody only lives less than a dozen decades. There's really no reason to cut it shorter than that. It's already too short, as it is. You might as well ride it out and see how it goes.
Once it's over, it's over.

I'm afraid none but the dead know the answer to that question,... and they aren't talking...;-)
-----
"... But that the dread of something after death,--
The undiscover'd country, from whose bourn
No traveller returns,--puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all;..."
- Shakespeare, - excerpt from HAMLET (III, i)
-----
However, that doesn't mean that 'checking out' is totally without merit:
..."...We have no power to prevent ourselves being born: but we can rectify this error - for it is sometimes an error. When one 'does away with oneself' one does the most estimable thing possible: one thereby almost deserves to live..."...
Nietzsche, - excerpt from TWILIGHT OF THE IDOLS
-----
Know that, whether you choose to 'stay' or 'go',...
... I wish you the best of luck, my friend...;-)

Mystics because of the fact the initiating of time have used entheogens to respond to that very question. the reason of this is because of the neccessity for the respond you seek for could come from interior you. this is through religious evolution. for each physique human beings is diverse and each and each soul could walk their own direction, yet in essence we are one. the least difficult way i'm able to describe my understanding is, Our "non secular experience" is a experience to adulthood to a "non secular perfection" in case you may, because of the fact enable's in simple terms say God has "suitable" babies. we are elderly to perfection previously we are even born, in the process the present it somewhat is "unfastened will", the skill to make options and adventure the tip results of those options. this is in attempt to enable us to "get all of it out of our gadget" ("it" being selfishness). As I pronounced previously, each and each is diverse, so certainly you could take many lifetimes to conquer selfishness, even though it does not could. Mystics discovered this in the process the psychedelic adventure. ultimately, after adequate "time" spent interior the cycle of delivery-death-and-rebirth, selflessness is finished, and one is free of the cycle and "born" to God. (this is what maximum folk call "heaven") in case you do no longer gain "perfection" and an entire understanding (enlightenment) in this lifetime, on the time of your "death", you will in simple terms reincarnate and all recommendations from the previous existence would be saved in "All it somewhat is" (extensive-unfold understanding, the plant from which we sprang). At which era your soul would be despatched back into "the worldwide" for "extra adventure". i'm hoping this solutions your question....
