I'm having trouble deciding what I want the painter to paint on my walls. It has to be something I'll love to wake up to and see every morning and the last thing I see at night. I'm thinking of painting the walls [background] bright yellow, then some New York building with taxis and people rushing down the street?.. I've always liked that look [I'm 14, I live in California, only seen the New York scenes in movies] but I don't have the exact picture I want yet.
Any suggestion or ideas for what i can paint on my walls??????? [picture would be GREAT!:)]
Or what would YOU personally have painted?

What about your own cityscape with Eiffil Tower and Arc de triumph and New York scenes all collaged? We got a "dorm room" ad from Target in the mail recently-maybe you can find it online on their site-it had an awesome room with a city on the walls almost like kid drawings-just black on white-you could go with white and black and then accent your room in bright yellow with the cab and maybe a firehydrant and maybe a gal shopping with purse bags, a poodle along sidewalk with red collar, yellow dress, bright bags etc.

Nowadays, you don't have to pay a professional painter to paint something on your walls. You can have it more easily and less expensively done with wall murals.

Wall murals used to be all the rage in the 70's. But with the advent of graphic design, technology and digital cameras, the sky's the limit! You'll be amazed at what you can put on your walls now! Here are some links to show you what I mean:

And here's a great mural of New York City... I can understand you wanting that... I lived there for 16 years and I still can't get enough of the skyline!

When my children were first born I painted a Raggedy Ann and Andy on their wall. One boy and one girl. Of course they outgrew that. Something that I would like to see on my wall would be a cherry blossom tree or a street scene from Italy. If you are a good artist you could borrow books from the library on famous artists and get an inspiration from them or even copy one of them. At the high school where I work two students in Art class painted one of Van Gough's works (Starry Night) on the front of a counter. When the counter was moved, they cut out the picture and had it framed to hang on the wall.

I'd love to have a city skyline scene painted on a wall. Skyscaper silhouettes with either a sunset or sunrise in the background. Something like the one at this link:

It could be any cities skyline, even an imaginary one.
