Ok, I met this 19 year old three days before my birthday by my grandma. He was there on the day I turned 16 so he for sure knows my age. And no I will not have sex with him because I wouldnt want him to get into trouble so dont say "if you have sex". And I really like him. So would it be wrong to date him?

I dunno go to the local police station and ask them- be sure to give the name of the young man so that they can verify it!

Back in the day it was called 'jail bait'. Which is exactly where that young man will be if he goes out with you. And I agree, there is only one reason an 20 year old man would be asking a 16 year old teenager out. And does he even know that you are only 16?? Maybe he thinks you are older. Be upfront and honest. Otherwise, you may cost him jail time and a life long title of 'Registered Sex Offender'.

I really respect you alot because you have the guts to say it. It is in fact Illegal for an adult to date someone who is under 18 years old(In some states, I think is 17). There are a couple of reasons why a 20 year old guy will date a 16 or 17 year old girl. And I'm sure you heard it all before. My philosophy in life is let people live their life and the mistakes they make is part of it. In other words, there are no wrong answers in this world. Unfortunately we live in America and everybody has an opinion. To me, there are no boundaries to what you want to chose than what will you chose. We make our decisions upon ourselves. And that's the way I'm going to live it to you...

PS: I'm sure you are a very, very beautiful girl and know what is best for you. Just do me one favor......Take care of yourself

It would be better to date people closer to your own age. While in school stay with guys with 1 class of your age. One your 20 then you can expand it to a border age range.

You'd better be very careful. There's usually a reason that a 20 year old would be dating a 16 year old. In all honesty, I'd recommend against it.
