I'm not talking about blu-ray. It's those disks that the slim version PS2 can play. It's not the label that's blue, it's the bottom part of the CD. What's the name of that kind of disk?

The slim Playstations can play any playstation game. The blue bottom is just a decorative add on. Although, if the bottom of thye disk is not silver, them I usually check to see if the disk is not pirated. It's the same principle as audio CDs. colored bottoms usually mean that it is a burned CD. I don't want to make you get paranoid. Just be careful.

I'm not sure, but I think you may be referring to the early PS2 games which were written on blue CDs, like the PS1 games were written on black CDs. I don't know why, but after about a year or so, the PS2 games were coming out on regular-colored CDs.

i will attempt and clarify it particularly is layman's words with out having too technical: The crucial is particularly the comparable as a DVD disc, only there's a distinctive form of laser beam getting used with Blu Ray (a blue one) as unfavorable to a CD/DVD (a purple one). The blue beam is a lot greater precise than that of a purple beam, for this reason the tracks on a Blu Ray disc could be written lots closer mutually, for this reason greater storage capacity. you may not burn onto a Blu-Ray disc and not utilising a Blu-Ray Burner, yet it is elementary to playback CD's and DVD's utilising a Blu-Ray participant/burner.
