i wouldn't worry about it. my boyfriend of a year and a half is like that too. he usually types 1 or 2 words in response to my paragraphs lol, i just got the env so it has made my text messaging addiction 10x worse. every now and then he writes a full sentence. he certainly makes up for it otherwise, so i'm not really bothered by it.
i think it's just a guy thing.

This is because you can't say things as you really mean them over txt, as in you can say a sentence in a different voice or do an impression of someone, but the reader could read it as just a normal sentence (if that makes sense)
It is also probably because to have a good laugh when writing summat on a txt it will take about 3/4 messages to write, and that would cost a lot of money to keep sending.
And not only that its not as easy to be funny when writing things as it is not spontaneous, and you have to think about things so you just give up, and be blunt and say what you have to and no-more. Well that is what happens to me anyway lol
Hope this helps

humour is difficult to read. what is said in person does not come accross the same in text. Also, people tend to use text if they just want to send a quick message - he may not have time to make you laugh every minute of the day

bottom line is boys don't like to text. us girls generally feel the need to communicate whether it be through phone calls, face too face, texts or in some cases e-mails- we just have the need to be saying something somehow. guys on the other hand only want to say the necessary when necessary. i would text my boyfriend lenghty texts or just short ones and all i normally get is "babe i'll call u in a bit" ALL THE TIME. used to do my head in and i just got used to the fact that most boys don't like to text so i just wait for that fone call. but it doesn't stop me from texting still. lol

texting, for me at least, is not my favorite way of communicating. I don't feel like my true personality is out because i have a short space to say something, So i make it quick and to the point. Its just not as easy to get your jokes in.

everyone doesn't know the ends and outs with texting. if you don't like it then don't text him or don't respond by texting call him back. this is not a big deal if you really like the bloke.
its better to talk to him in person or on the telly anyway. texting is so impersonal

i hate texting,
but maybe his humour is the sort you have to see and hear, give him a call, he'd prob prefer it more than a text too

It's a gender thing - most of us think it's a PitA to text. Also, don't forget that most mobiles have tiny buttons compared to mens podgy fingers! ;-)
