My roof has some areas that are bubbling in certain places where a certain area I can feel by stepping there is air or something under the shingles and is real soft. Does anyone know what my roof is trying to tell me? Thanks

I agree with "-R". You need to inspect the underside of the roof in the attic, check for soft spots in the wood under the bubbling shingles. How old are they, and was there a guarantee from either the manufacturer or the roofer who installed them (or both)?

Thats telling you that moisture has been getting under the shingles there, and the wood underneath is soft now. This could be from some serious leaks.

You should go in your attic and look for rotted wood in the soft areas, it might be time for a new roof.

just did mine last summer. Same problems..

If it is hot in your area it could be the heat causing the shingles to get soft. Check inside your attic for any damage on the inside but you might want to have a professional take a look at it to give you his opinion. Or at least a handyman who you know or who a friend recommends.

That you need to change them sooner rather than later. Your roof has reached its maximum age and it is time to have a new roof installed
BEFORE it starts to leak!!
